How to Win GTA: Online

I pretty much feel I beat the game.

- I own every useful business

- I own every useful vehicle

- I am independent, can make money whenever I want

- I can afford everything I want

- 100% Legit (no moneyboost, no sharkcards, no money from modders)

Yes I am proud, because that game does everything to make you lose fun to play or to give up and buy Shark Cards, Moneyboosts, Mods, but I fkn beat it. Take that  C**kstar

Post-Casino update, the only way to win GTA Online is to win the Lost Slamvan on the lucky wheel.

On a semi-serious note, I like to think of DD Act III as the end of the story. The IIA wipe your slate clean and your character has something of a redemption. I like to think of that as the closest thing to "winning" the game.

There's a whole thread to be had on how the chronology of the whole "story" is messed up, but in my own mind everything else you do happens before that. If it were a single player story it would certainly be fitting as the final mission, from a narrative perspective, there's nothing else you do that tops preventing a nuclear holocaust and the rise of the chatbots.

Personally I believe it depends on your point of view. By the time Cunning Stunts came out I (legitimately) made enough GTA cash to last me through every single DLC and since then I've just been setting all sorts of milestones for me. Like, buying properties, clothes, vehicles, getting to 100 million and say rank 500, then 200 million and rank 1000 and so on. The trophies and awards are a welcome addition but some of them require waaay too much effort to be enjoyable for me (cough cough, Monkey Blista, cough).

Oh and of course enjoying the content is important, otherwise why even bother playing? Games should be fun and as long as you're having it you're a winner :)

Learn how to counter your opponents. Having elite gun skills is the best and that's what people fear the most. People all play the same way. The second you body someone with an assault rifle or a sniper rifle they'll leave the fight and go for a jet or an Oppressor. This is where countering is important. If the scrub does go for a jet just go somewhere to where he can't hit you. If he gets a OP Mark II, avoid vehicles and when he tries to freeaim a rocket at you just pluck him off of it. If they get into a tank just seek high ground. If they go off the radar go into a RC car so they can't see you. Tryhards do this. If you can learn how to counter Tryhard gameplay you can beat anybody in this game. It won't happen overnight you have to constantly play. Sniper battles with Tryhards are fun. When you beat them in sniper battles, they'll just leave you alone when they actually see that you know how to fight!

Oh I almost forgot the people that will kill you one time and then tell you you suck while they're in passive mode.

I think you're taking this thread a bit too seriously, my man.

That's great and all, but if I never engage in pvp, do I win or lose?

1. Deliver a Gresley to Simeon.

2. Find out which jackets allow you to wear a scarf.

3. Customize your Daemon so it only has a whitewall on the rear tire (or, if you're in the UK, have only a whitewall on the rear tyre).

4. Have an appropriate saved outfit ready for playing golf.

And that's pretty much everything.

...oh, you're not still on PS3?

Ok i used modder on pc, but i also play on ps3-4 and xbox and never used it there. Just didn't feel like going through everything aga8n on pc. To much modder there. Atleast less griefer on pc. Every version has it's pro and con i guess.

I personally think there is no way to win GTA:O. Or if there is, it is only what you decide the win condition to be. So I see his answer, no matter how much I disagree with it, completely valid.
