Alternative for SAxVCxLC mod, now with all cities connected.

Goal:
The objective is to keep cities as close as possible, but long enough to cause a sense of travel, where with the default viewing distance of the game it is not possible to see a city while being in another, that is, close to 1000 meters away.

The goal is not to model large land masses between these cities, as it is too much work to have a pleasant result, and that makes the game map too uncharacteristic, after all, in fact all games are located on islands, so even though there may be small ones land masses, the focus is on bridges.

My friend is converting the payphone missions from Vice City:

I plan to replace the mountain add by the original  SAxVCxLC  devs on LC with a new city section formed by the ''ghost town''.

Now about the conversion of the entire GTA III and GTA VC missions to the mod:
We discussed about that and although it's possible, it is something that require extremely talented people. There's no way to do this just by using copy and paste. We can reutilize some part of the code, sure, but a lot of things will have to be done from scratch and the original code would have to be heavily edited.
A DYOM version is out of question since it is too limited.
So until now the only mission conversion will be the payphone missions from VC and possibly III since they are simpler.
I was going to rearrange GTA:SA original missions trough LC and VC. I'll move the first mission and see if its nice.
Another thing that might happens is a expansion to the Saint Mark's Bistro mission with carl being pursued through LC.

Yeah, but none of his concept is being used here. His last map was based on my in-game render.

Hey there. I thought I might mention this:
New map center for Liberty City is incorrect. X coordinate is wrong:
LC: 6000.0 2250.0

It should be:
LC: 5666.0 2250.0

(Tested on pickup positions).

Maps are too close to each other. This destroyed the atmosphere of this modification. 

 

Will more towns and villages be added?

The distance is 1000 meters from SA. LC and VC are about 1300 meters of distance from each other.
It's not possible to see other cities. While on SA you only will see SA, while on VC you will only see VC, while on LC you only will see LC.

So they are close, but you can't realize this in-game since the draw distance hide the cities.

Also, this distance is necessary to put the bridges, no one would like to drive over a bridge with 6km of extension in the middle of the ocean.

If you preffer distant cities, I recomend you: GTA United, SAxVCxLC (Original), GTA Undergroud, GTA SOL.
There's plenty options with cities far away. We are making a new concept here and it will not be changed.

The first stable build is now released. Now the focus is on fix bugs from the original SAxVCxLC that were inherited by this connected version. For example, we remade and optimize the water mesh. We fixed the LC tunnels that were underwater. Removed that ugly montain from LC. Created a new radar for LC. And so on.

Guys, that awesome. The project looks beautiful. My suggestion is to make news ports betweens the new islands and make a ocean traffic and parked ships just like that ones we have in San Fierro. Because the islands IRL will be used for trading, traffic, comercial relations, etc between the cities. Sorry for the broken english.

The new added weapons are using icons from III and VC, this don't make any sense at all, so Nadalao is creating new icons SA style.

No offence but SAxVCxLC is not very well made. Even the radio is bad, they increased the radio size at same time that they decreased the overall audio quality.

Lots of bugs on the map and stuff. I'm thinking in discard the LC and VC maps and make a new conversion. Basically getting rid of 99% of the stuff from the original SAxVCxLC.

For LC, I'll still need to decide between the map from III Xbox or LCS.

For VC, I think I'll put the map from VCS:

If I go ahead with this idea I would have to change de mod name. Change it to ''Classic Connected'' or something like that.

 

About pedestrians, III and VC pedestrians quality are way too low to be used together with SA. So take pedestrians from LCS e VCS seems to be a better fit.
About vehicles, use vehicles from III (or LCS)  don't make any sense. It will be better use only vehicles from VC and VCS.

1 - Reinstall the game.
2 - Downgrade it.
3 - Install the essentials pack.
4 - Extract the mod to the game folder and hit ''replace'' when its asked.

LF has requested permission for us to use VC map from ''Vice City Stories: PC Edition'' and we got it.

LCS map will be converted by me.
Since the maps will be changed, ''SAxVCxLC Connected'' will change it's name soon and we will recreate most the files from scratch.
This project has started as a small edit of ''SAxVCxLC'' but it's now turning into it's own thing, having it's own concept.

Zeneric and LF are using Manhunt 1 and 2 map parts to create a new city. The objective is not to have a full carcer city or cottonmouth, it's to mix both of them and create a new island. This island will be also mixed with the ghost town from GTA III.

I know that would be cool to see a carcer city and cottonmouth  fully modeled. But the levels of Manhunt are way too small to become it's own city, so the viable way to do is mix them all.

Maybe you can take some parts of Bullworth as well? The city itself is small, but some parts might or night now work lol
