Added car lines to dlclist.xml causes GTA to hang during loading screen

Hi everyone

 

I’m experiencing some problems with my mods since the latest patch.

I’ve managed to get the game to work with some mods installed inside the mod folder & in the directory (LA roads, a graphics overhaul & latest versions of the scripthooks, trainer etc) but as soon as I add lines of added cars to the dlclist.xml file, the game will hang on the loading screen & requires a windows manual shutdown. It’s weird, because I’d expect LA roads to cause the same issue, seen as I’m also adding a line to the file with that but it doesn’t seem to mind, only with added cars.

 

Any ideas from the more clued up people on here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you installed a modded gameconfig for the latest game version?

 

When you say "add lines of added cars", how many lines are you adding? And have you tried adding just a single line?

 

Different types of addons use different types (and amounts) of resources. Addon cars are resource eaters, and seem to cause more problems than other types of addons.

I haven’t tried a modded gameconfig with this patch. I’ll try that now thanks & get back to you. 
 

I have tried adding my full amount & also tried 1 at a time, same outcome.

 

I’ll give this gameconfig a shot.

Okay, problem solved.

 

I added the latest gameconfig along with heap adjuster & it works like a charm. You have to add heap adjuster as well or it'll continue to crash.
