boomboom5950
Is it possible to have GTA installed on epic and on steam on different drives and they both work? I want to have the epic version on my hdd with singleplayer mods and a vanilla steam version installed on my ssd for online. Is this possible? I was going to say that the registry settings might be a problem, then noticed this thread on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/j27g3d/can_i_have_both_steam_and_epic_gta5_installed_on/ There's also this thread on this forum, although the two versions are not Epic and Steam. https://gtaforums.com/topic/888269-can-i-have-an-steam-version-and-social-club-gta-v-on-the-same-pc/ I have Epic and Retail but I dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 10, so they're in different operating systems. The bit in the GTAF thread about Steam not using the registry is an interesting one though, so if you already have the Steam version, you could search the registry for any GTAV information to confirm if that's true or not. The best answer is going to come from someone who has both versions installed and can confirm if it's possible or not. I'm just speculating... boomboom5950
Timsalabimbo
I don't know about mods, but it is possible to have both the Steam and Epic versions on the same pc, yes. LeeC22
ikt
Back when it was just released, I had to run the two in parallel for a short while (and test my scripts), and they work fine. (Both in my D:\ drive too) But man the game is massive. Edited January 11, 2021 by ikt LeeC22
