Ok so during Taking in the Trash when Niko meets Luca and his guys, Niko fist bumps Luca but rejects Tuna's fist bump, then Niko quickly slap hands with Johnny Spaz. What's up with that? Why did Niko leave poor Tunafish hanging like that? Is it because of his nickname? I mean Tunafish sure doesn't inspire much confidence in the guy all things considered, especially compared to his buddy Johnny Spaz who probably gets all the bitches thanks to his nickname alone. Maybe Luca calls him that because he does smell like tuna fish all the time which could explain Niko's reluctance to fist bump him. My man Niko has standards after all.

Whatever the reason may be, I always found that little moment funny.

Man, getting the Laundromat and the prison bus out of the prison during the final TLaD mission look super tedious by just seeing the guide lasting nearly 1 hour.

I think it's just pushing both slowly with a firefighter truck which you get to do if you wish to acquire the Police Stockade from the base game (where you get to drive the vehicle in quesion) , it's a decently short push to the Alderney safehouse  with only 1 vehicle being pushed unlike those 2 (you have to drive the getaway car along while keeping the prized stockade in sight, move one, move the other, repeat) .

Going through Get Lost until that part might be tough while keeping 100% shooting accuracy and kills on free aim, without grenade spamming at least but I bet that the Combat Sniper Rifle can cover the entire mission if I have to.

That aside, I still have the same number of wanted stars obtained and evaded, Shifting Weight doesn't screw you with that thanksfully but Get Lost might.

I will have to give air hockey another try.

Try using FusionFix if you're on PC and enable the new Raw Input option from the controls menu. It really helped me the last time I played Air Hockey:

...Wait, haven't we talked about this before in this exact same thread?

Anyone else kind of have this weird thing with the combine GTA 4/EFLC radios? I don't really like listening to them combined. The main example is LRR, probably my favourite station. I love listening to the GTA 4 station. I love listening to the EFLC station, but when both radios are combined, I usually turn over when I hear certain GTA 4 and most EFLC songs play? It's not even like I dislike either soundtracks, they just feel oddly different in a way. Like if you were listening to Iron Maiden and then followed it up with Taylor Swift. I dunno why, they're not totally different genres (the radio stations I mean) but I don't like them together.

Tbf LRR might be my only example now I think about it. Radio Broker I'm 50/50 on. I love the EFLC soundtrack but iirc it feels short when listening to it separate. But some combination can be jarring. I generally don't have a problem with LCHC even though it's the difference between Hardcore Punk and Metal.

This game has aged like the finest wine. Unlike RDR 1 which has aged like egg sh*t. IV ftw

That's an interesting take I share. Even though RDR1 is newer it feels much older. I know it's the same on a technical level but the way the map and missions are designed it just feels so much more barren with much less depth to the writing/characters.

Eh on a technical level it actually feels better than IV, John runs smoother than Niko for example and the shooting feels better too. Graphics wise IV looks much rougher. As for the map and missions it's set in the wild west of course it's going to be more barren compared to gta cities

The GTA game I most recently revisited and completed was GTA V since I had only played the original 360 version before (my opinion of it only went down more unfortunately). Now I finally started playing the Trilogy remaster (my brother bought me it for Christmas as a gag two years ago, by the time I'm playing it it's been fixed so might actually be enjoyable lol). But the thing I'm looking forward to most is how glorious it will be to return to GTA IV afterwards, it's been a long time.

I see IV and RDR1 on an equal level, totally different vibes but both masterpieces of attention to detail. Both are 10/10 games to me but I think IV's writing is superior while RDR1 definitely looks newer and has the edge on gameplay.

That's why I used Radio Restoration mod. It has a split radio stations option and you can restore original Vladivostok FM.

Listening to the new Vladivostok feels so weird and out of place. It's such a shame that out of all the stations, it's the most emblematic one that was gutted. Some songs are anachronistic and most don't fit the vibe of the game in my opinion, it really makes for a lesser experience. The only song I genuinely enjoy from the new version is "Mon Ami" by Seryoga.

I'm so grateful there's an easy way to restore them all, playing the game without the radios restored would bother the heck out of me.

Yeah I understand what you mean; I feel the same way when listening to K109 and Electro-choc with their base game and EFLC tracklists. The songs aren't even that bad but it always broke the immersion when the current tracklist finishes and it does an unrealistic jump to the next one. It's something that I'm glad Rockstar fixed in GTA V where the radio feels more seamless and realistic.

Finally, the red lustered Laundromat and the prison bus from TLaD are mine, longest haul ever but worth it.

You have to push both out of the prison with a fire fighter truck (most readily avaiable heavy vehicle) while moving Johnny's Hexer, all the way to Brian's safehouse.

This will last a couple of in-game days, the difficulty there is how persistent you are because that aside it's easy.

TBoGT is must easier, vehicles can be obtained on replays apparently.

And I can confirm that TLaD can be completed at 100% with 100% shooting accuracy and kills in free aim.

Combat statistics on my TLaD save :

Spoiler

VAcFGbz.png

The bulk of the kills were during gang wars, grenade kills especially since getting ahead of convoys is a good starter.

Half of the assault shotgun kills were during the final mission, I didn't get to use it that much and I accomplished more gang wars before the gun would appear at safehouses (but you can get it sooner from Clay anyway) .

The single molotov cocktail kill is a mystery, it was during a gang wars but it doesn't seem that it is used by anyone once you got a good number accomplished (you'll get grenade guys most likely) , I can only assume that it was an enemy who died from the fire of a still burning car wreck, related to some good grenade rampage.

I remember hearing some time after IV had come out that you could randomly get a 6 star wanted level for blowing up a limo. I never really thought about checking if this was ever true or not. Does anyone know if this is a thing in the game?

It was not true. The Limo is treated like any other NPC car. I’ve even seen limos driven by homeless guys lol

Does anyone remember this glitch that would cause the ingame phone wallpaper to turn red? I remember it a few times in TBOGT multiplayer but I’m trying to google it and I can’t find any information on it so idk if anyone else remembers it or if I’m just a schizo

It doesn't look like there is a way to keep the number of wanted stars obtained and evaded the same in TBoGT, I stil remember it from my older 100% save.

I tried to stand into a restricted area (note : Caught with your pants down) , you keep 4 stars or rather, you lose 1 star and get it back immediately.

I don't know if this would repeat, the things I can think of is somehow pushing the NOOSE Tank near a Pay 'n' Spray and hope there is a vehicle nearby to respray after triggering the wanted level, if it's allowed during a mission.

Or trying to get 4 stars before driving the vehicle.

This is true. A red wallpaper texture for Luis' phone does exist but it goes unused AFAIK. Maybe there's some way to use it in the game, I haven't checked.

Sometime tomorrow after work I'll have to check the files and report back
