Holy sh*t thanks man! Feeling dumb for not realizing it was the update. Thats the intro I know and love! Ah that felt good seeing it again.

Is there actually anything game breaking the patch fixes tho? Or is there really no reason to download it… I know they never patched out the songs, but from what I read in the patch notes it didn’t look like anything noteworthy.

I don't know the details myself but what I do know is that my game instantly runs better with the patch, and I feel like that's the primary reason to get the downgrader.

After a long time, I did play plenty of gang wars like before. Aside from enemies having aimbot and crazy health, it’s entertaining.

Can't but agree. Drug / Gang Wars and Vigilante are why I still play this game from time to time.

So on Xbox, LT to aim, RT to fire. But as some of you know, slightly pressing RT also works for aiming. I use complex crosshair + free aim.

I realized that if pressing RT slightly to aim instead of pressing LT, the crosshair is smaller than usual. This is also the case while aiming + moving. If aiming with LT + moving, crosshair is even bigger than usual(usual being aiming while not moving), however using RT to aim makes the reticle very small regardless of moving or not.

Question is, does any of this effect accuracy at all?

I hope we get a GTA IV remaster next year. That’d be awesome.

Maybe not official but you can get a remaster with fusion fix and those other texture mods which still keep the style of the game (it's not those other ones), try them if you haven't.

Once I did it made a huge difference, you don't even need to downgrade your game from steam, they work there as well.

As for potential remaster in the future, (I don't think they will at this point) but I'd like to see them fix a few more issues that it has (but with the mods I mentioned they did get fixed).

Personality types of GTA IV/EFLC characters IMO

For any further info regarding this, feel free to look it up on Google, no matter how accurate or inaccurate this whole thing may be. 😛

Caught with your pants down... you can shoot the yellow rings or the NOOSE Tank without losing shooting accuracy, I certainly didn't expected that.

The yacht in sexy time can be destroyed with any explosive it seems, one rocket man even caused an explosion which allowed me to save a grenade, the cutscene will start once you get back into the Buzzard if enough damage was inflicted.

While the Buzzard is tough, it doesn't look like the rocket men on boats will shoot if you hover above one of them so you gotta intercept them on land.

100% shooting accuracy & kills in free aim & game progress on TBoGT might be possible after all, I can't think of anything else.

EDIT : the game really has a problem with things going under the map during gang wars and drug wars, yet again I got an enemy under that's impossible to reach.

As if I didn't have enough trouble to finish 10 gang wars in a row.

Started playing GTA IV after a long time. I think I will do 100 % one more time before GTA VI comes out.

One good screenshot I took before.

Did not took long to get that $500K achievement and just got the Infernus from Bernie. Now I have Super GT, etc. all the luxury cars parked. Still dating all the chicks and friends even at 100 % because it is interesting to hear what they say.
Still doing cars for Stevie's txts.

Next main story mission would be the diamond deal where Johny and Luis are involved.

So Packie asks me to take out Kate on a date, sure thing, no problem. I choose to go play pool with her thinking it'll be a fun game, she even says that she hasn't played this game in a while as we enter the café. Nice. Well, she proceeds to kick my ass for the entire game until she finally makes a foul and I'm able to pocket the 8 ball, talk about luck. :starekek:

I'd say I'm average at pool, but goddamn between Jacob, Packie, Roman or Kate, one simple mistake is enough for them to pocket all of their balls in a single streak. I guess that's why I prefer playing darts or bowling, at least there I feel like I am in control. :shillkek:

The Grunt 281

Sharp contrast with darts in particular since you can win everytime by doing the minimum turn count to win (which is an award in GTA Online so I tried on GTA IV since) .

Pool is pratically luck-based if you ever miss and I've seen my share of balls absolutely refusing to fall into a pocket (me or otherwise) , I'm still unsure of what dictate the power applied to strike a ball.

I believe my last win at pool was the opponent pocketing the while ball along the 8-ball, trust me it's not the first time.

Those f-in' things.  I think I only ever shot two of them.

I've done them two times before but that was ages ago.

Did 55 of them, got bored. After that I did 20 races for Brucie and then uninstalled the game.

Some of my thoughts about IV:
After the main story I find it odd how Niko is still complaining about life so much. He has an apartment and penthouse in Algonquin and is basically a millionaire now.
Lack of buying things is a missed opportunity. In GTA V you at least had some reason to make millions, if you wanted to buy all the property, but in IV you cannot spend that big money.

I had another pipe bomb brother during a gang wars, apparently Jim can spawn with different weapons (can confirm an AK as well) and Terry still has his machine pistol even after obtaining a rifle, he will use it if you get him as passenger.

Clay doesn't keep his sawn off shotgun but he is pretty good with it as passenger.

I think my base game save has less money and I tried to minimize.

So, I've been re-playing this game, and because I'm nostalgic for the 2000s in general, I decided to fill my Independence FM playlist with Top 100 Pop Singles from 2008.

It sounds kinda weird, but a lot of these songs just... fit right at home with GTA IV. Like Rihanna's "Disturbia" playing at sunset while driving through Liberty City on a date with Michelle, or having Ne-Yo's "Miss Independent" start playing while I'm doing one of Roman's taxi missions. Maybe it's because GTA IV is basically a virtual 2008 time capsule, but it feels right. Like I've briefly gone back in time to experience the late 2000s all over again.

I think the reason why GTA IV feels like a 2008 time capsule is because of how well it has aged. GTA games in general tend to feel like time capsules because of the time periods that they take place in (2000s New York City, 80s Miami, 90s California etc). Rockstar spended a lot of time and effort recreating and capturing each timeframe to the best of their abilities to make you feel immersed in their worlds. While not on point, they still do a pretty good job regardless. The only exception to this is GTA V because of how much ported content from Online that has ruined the original intended timeframe of the game. It's hard to feel like you're in a 2013 Los Angeles when there are so much post-2013 sh*t thrown at you. I feel like the original developers for the story mode never predicted this would happen and I kinda pity them for that.

I managed to take out the target vehicle of a gang wars with my own bike, due to a failed grenade drive-by no less.

The target vehicle changed direction after being aggro'd but I was cooking a grenade already, the result is throwing it too late to avoid self harm so I was knocked off the bike but it keep going while on fire and blew up close enough to the target vehicle to set it on fire and blow up.

I don't think I'll manage to pull off that stunt again anytime soon.

I really noticed something in 2021 that the dlcs in 2020 builds of GTA IV ship with some tv content cut.

I had to get separate EFLC since the fusion overloader mod within ff that came out last year for copying those tv files named movies in each dlc folder.

One episode got cut of Republican Space Rangers from it and not sure about the 2nd removed stuff.

Like a radio restorer, can there be a tv restorer mod too? I wasn't sure where to post this question.

"You see? What did I tell you, Lopez? Overexposed like a stripper in Fleet Week."

While Mori is an annoying little orange f*ck, I can't help but appreciate his conversations with Luis and Brucie, truly funny stuff. His actor played the role pretty well and his voice acting work during car conversations brought some fun energy despite his character being an asshole to everyone. It's a shame Mori felt like an afterthought though. In a way, I think he was underutilized, for better or worse.

Hey folks, is it true that the game's coloration changes based on the player's choices? For instance, if Niko kills all the characters, does the game become more brown and gloomy, whereas if he spares most of them, does the game become more colorful? Someone mentioned this on Facebook, but I've never noticed it in-game.

I love the way Luis puts down Mori.
