Korpi
Has anyone else playing GTA IV with PC managed to achieve the "One Man Army" achiement? I just unlocked it today after a few attemp. Flew a helicopter, ha! String
Covered Wagon Fan
Do any of you just like going for a drive? It's something I like to do. Just get in, put on the radio and go wherever the roads take me. I do the exact same - load up the game, hop in a car and just drive around or just take in the sights. Also one thing that hardly anyone ever talks about is the in-game Internet. Everyone talks about physics this and driving that but the Internet is one of the best things in IV - so much you can learn about the world and lore in general from just surfing the net. One thing I love about driving around is when it starts to rain. You can see people putting up umbrellas, putting newspapers over their heads, running for shelter. Only sometimes I wish there was some kind of countryside near LC, so I could not only cruise around the city, but also drive through forests, small towns, etc. 12 hours ago, Covered Wagon Fan said: One thing I love about driving around is when it starts to rain. So if you keep bumping into the same person, they'll be dropping the umbrella in hand and take out a new one almost immediately. I'm not sure there's a limit Edited March 17 by AngryMeatPie Covered Wagon Fan

Would be nice to escape the concrete jungle for a while. While I'm walking around Liberty City, I always see if I can find those window cleaning lifts that you find at the side of skyscapers, so you can go to the top and admire the views. I love climbing up cranes too. AngryMeatPie

I only know of two, the one that Niko and Playboy used in that mission (forgot the name) where Niko goes to a construction site to clean up some Union officials, and another one in the Majestic Hotel. There's 11 that you can access outside of missions (Majestic Hotel one can only be used in the mission for some reason). It's one of the things on that "whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com" in game website, has a map of them Not that useful but they can be good to use during a police chase or in some cases to do some parkour. Moving them to different heights during a shootout can be fun. Covered Wagon Fan, Themaster9565, AngryMeatPie and 2 others

I used it like a few times during all my time in the game. By the way, do you sometimes get a wanted level too when entering the cable car? It happened to me a few times and I can't figure out why. 1 hour ago, Covered Wagon Fan said: Elevators. They sure do provide a 'lifting' experience You mean the ones like in the Majestic Hotel? Aren't they only used in missions? Technically there's one in Niko's second Algonquin safehouse (not Playboy's but the other one), but I guess that's the only one used outside of missions. You can use them in free roam too. I used one to get to the top of a tall building in Alderney to watch the sun rise. AngryMeatPie

I've recalled just now that Rotterdam tower definitely has an elevator but I think it can only be used in TBOGT, although I'm not sure... I don't, but the map that billyjoearmstrong is a good indicator to where the lifts are. Just walk around a skyscraper and you should see one. String
Roman's insurance company didn't think it the least bit strange that two of Roman's properties caught fire at the same time while giving him the insurance money for the depot... Well logic won't get you far when almost every mission has half a dozen murders, but is still funny to examine. AngryMeatPie

I often wish that area was a bit bigger to form an actual suburb, although for me it has that suburban atmosphere as it is. HenriqueV5
Absurd what Rockstar does with some of their games, GTA IV remains underperforming on PCs, and it doesn't have decent anti-aliasing. AngryMeatPie

Legomanarthur
I like to play as a street cleaner of sort. Whenever I see a ped dropping something on the ground, especially grocery bags, I just throw whatever object they dropped at them with the intent of killing them. I mean, aren't the streets already dirty enough? Some people never learn or refuse to do so. Just because someone honked next to you or something "shocking" happened nearby doesn't mean you should drop what you were holding on the ground and continue on with your day without a care in the world. LC is already the worst place in America, and with that kind of mentality things won't improve one bit. So yeah, getting rid of those people is a very relaxing experience, and I get the sense of doing something good for this city. Sure their corpses tend to take some space and the cops who see me seem to be against my good efforts for whatever reason but it's worth it. It's a thankless job but deep down I know it's not in vain. Anyway, I definitely recommend this activity to anyone looking for something to do and wanting LC to be a better and cleaner place.
