More than half the stations are available as players now! The rest will be done by the end of the week. Meanwhile, enjoy the eclectic musical mix of what early-70s London has to offer for the moment.

You have done an excellent job with the soundtrack. I know you're really invested in your music so I want you to know your effort is appreciated.

Vinewood Records is my favourite. Not just the tracklist, but the homage it pays to the original game.

And as Akavari said, the advertisements are a great touch.

I'll look forward to your tutorials. New territory for us all.

Yep, it's a personal love letter to the original GTA London.

There are quite a few little homages and connections here. It's a somewhat strange juxtaposition of two completely separate eras set ten years apart. But then again, many would say that a GTA game set outside of the US is a little unconventional in the first place 😀

Ehhh I wouldn't really call it strange. It's the same reason why IV had a late-70s early-80s disco station.

Well there are some people who maintain that universes cannot cross.

Just one station left to go. Still figuring out how to split the prog rock songs in a way that they sound really appealing.

Meanwhile, enjoy the sounds of 1970s lounge music and Classical/Opera. Vivaldi goes great when you're going on a wild police chase on the outskirts of London.

I can confidently say that all stations (save for the talk show one) are done. I was surprised at how well the tracks in Mother of Creation sounded close together, so I decided to make it one long continuous prog rock/jazz fusion mix, making it, along with The Purple Heart, the only two stations in this concept without any commercials.

Making the stations was a lot of fun and hard work, and I enjoyed every second of it. Hopefully the stations would fully immerse you into the early-70s London setting as much as I did.

I'll start work on the mixing tutorial soon.

Hard to believe it's been over a year since we posted this. Would people eventually like to see some more??

Wow, this topic slipped me by but I just saw it bumped and checked it out, some of this is fantastic! Not read through everything yet but really digging the declassified report style and how much this feels Rockstar like and containing a few good throwbacks to the original GTA London.

Thanks man. It's very easy for things to get buried in this section unfortunately. Be sure to tell us more of what you think when you manage to get through it all.

This is one of the GTA concepts I come back to from time to time, it's still engaging to read after over 2 years, and the music selection is fantastic.

If there was a hypothetical voice cast for the London Underground concept, I'd imagine Perry Kensworth, the DJ of Classically London, being voiced by James May of Top Gear and The Grand Tour fame.

Appreciate it man.

Not too familiar with the cast of Top Gear (Only know Jeremy), but I have played Horizon 4, and the classical station there was one of the biggest inspirations for Classically London, along with Boosey and Hawkes from Sleeping Dogs.

Jeremy Clarkson is actually a massive 1970s Prog Rock fan. So maybe he could be the voice of Marco Rodigan 🤔

As per request, the download links for all the radio stations are now up. Feel free to download them for your own listening pleasure.

Better believe I'm snagging the playlists for Vinewood Records and The French Connection! You're an absolute maestro when it comes to assembling soundtracks but you deserve extra props for those.

Glad you liked them! Which tracks were your favorite?

Where do I begin??

  • Tropicando: Gives me major cruise the city and take in the scenery along the Thames vibes. It has the same sort of effect as Honeymoon Swoon in Mafia: DE. Sh*t gets real half way through - obviously I pick up a wanted level.

  • Mary's Theme: It's midnight. I'm prowling Soho. It's raining and the wipers are going. The streets are drenched in neon. Beautiful song.

  • Half-Forgotten Daydreams: When you're rallying the drop-top E-Type along the coast. Kind of makes me wish Southend or Brighton were part of your map. Fish & Chips & birdsh*t.

  • Mirza & Party Music 5: Takes me back to GTA: London '69. I have no idea what the first bloke is saying. He is passionate about it though!

  • Cafe Creme: What it must sound like when the Soho spruikers lure you into an underground burlesque show.

  • Traffic: Scouting the big score. Maybe it's cash-in-transit. Maybe it's a prison break. Maybe The Sweeney are tailing you.

The whole thing makes me feel like I'm walking through a cloud of cigar smoke in a Maltese gambling den. Your very own score to rival the great Roy Budd.

I originally wanted to include both but iirc MOB suggested a more Tube-centric and geographically-accurate setting and story which definitely makes more sense in retrospect.

If you're open to more suggestions, then I'd suggest adding a contents tab for ease of flicking. And maybe spoiler tagging the Underworld section. It's absolutely massive 😯

Soon!

That being said for the second part I can't do it since MOB posted that. I can't get a hold of him at the moment unfortunately so maybe some time in the future.

I'm deadset against you doing this. It's some of your best content.

If you're going to do anything - change the font this concept is posted in.

There are massive chunks of this concept I have never attempted to read because I physically can't. I've genuinely had to figure out most of it from the comments that have been left. I love the pair of you, but it is a massive struggle for anyone with eyesight issues. It's a shame because this is top tier stuff.

I can definitely do this if it would make it easier to read, but the TOC might be enough. Depends on what people think?

@The Coconut Kid The idea was to make this envoke the appearance of typewritten files. Is it a font issue or a size issue? I tend to find the default size on this forum to be a little bit small but mostly just give things the old pinch and spread with the fingers when I'm on the mobile and have the screen zoomed on the mac.

The actual font. It’s not the size mate. It’s how you use it. :D

I get what you’re doing. I can bump the zoom up myself (150% club!) but anything other than the default font is awkward. It hits more with this concept because of the sheer scale of it.

I’m told you’re behind those wonderful case files. Any chance you could drop a full size link underneath them? I actually only learned about the male/female choice of protagonist when Akavari posted about it.

Good to see the MOB name back in circulation, BTW. It will be good to see some proper contributions from you again. ;)

It's good to be back mate 😊

I'm pretty sure they're full size here. Are you viewing on desktop?? For some reason I don't have the one for The Pariah, but here the other two are again just in case.
