which is the safest route onto the island and to take to get to the compound

My rule of thumb is start at the location with the most convenient clothes location (preferably near the supply truck) after that it doesn't matter as long as you don't do anything suspicious or stay too long in someone's vison

Why in Detail? Will the Clothes/Uniform Disguise not work before driving the Truck?

Guards will only "ignore" you with the uniforms. The Supply truck is irrelevant for being disguise**

 

However what matters next is how you enter the compound. With the disguises you can steal any car and drive there without getting caught and use either demo charges or grappling hooks to enter.

I personally like using the Supply Truck (if clothing permits since im also going for the elite challenge) since that lets you go through the main gate without worry

if i want an easy run (or there's coke at the airport) i'll get the longfin & start at north dock, drive it to the airport, fill up my bag then drive it to the compound and go in through the drainage pipe

after i get the primary loot i walk out the main gate, turn right, go right at the corner and at the end of the path there's a spot where i can get down the cliff safely and just swim away

 

certainly not the fastest route and there's no way i'll ever get the elite challenge doing it but it works for me

If you find guard disguises and a grappling hook at the airfield, I think that's even easier than the drainage tunnel. Maybe quicker, too. With the disguise you don't even really need to kill guards inside the compound, because the red ones you can sneak past. (Use first person for stealth running.)

i always check for disguises but i never thought to look for a grappling hook i know there's a spawn for it at the end of the runway

i'm not sure which is the fastest way to get from the airport into the compound, driving a boat to drainage tunnel or driving a car with disguise to the gate?

i guess throwing a hook over the wall would be faster than cutting through drain bars

Two right by the solar farm, and one in that field on the way to the first gate. Of course you can be unlucky and not find one despite all the possible locations. But as a backup plan you could just drive to the compound and kill guards until one drops the codes for the side door.

i generally check the field anyway because that's one of the spawn points for the cutting powder which i try to do every run

Sorry, I mean the field between the solar farm (where the Manchez spawns) and the first gate you have to pass through. There is a potential grappling hook location in the pile of trash, on the back of a green boat.

 

I always drive through there when I scope anyway.

No, you can finish the heist without killing anyone:

You don't need to take the drainage tunnel; grappling hook and wall entry works as well.

 

The guard disguises will still work after you exit the compound even though Pavel says the opposite.

a guard disguise will help a lot then you can walk right past cameras and normal guards

you only have to watch out for the elite ones with a red cone of vision they will see through the disguise

 The only other way I can think of to get to the vault is through one of the gated doors, which requires killing a guard to drop. dont worry the NPC's are stupid follow my route and you'll be fine

i cant always rund from A to B and from B to A, could it be here a bug?

So there are 5 places I've seen it. At the airfield, 2 locations at the main dock (on the west and east sides of the water there) by the Northern Dock and by the main gate in the compound.

If its in the compound, then you have a small issue of that's not where it is during the finally. During the finally it is actually roaming around the island in a large counter clockwise loop. You can still grab it in the southwestern corner of the island. there is a straight shot of road between the checkpoint outside the compound and the guard tower just south of the main dock (pretty much just out of sight of the checkpoint) This is the most ideal place to steal the truck if you still wonna go that route, he'll be coming from the main dock

Or you can just call it quits and just get grapple hook and steal a car to the compound

PS you need to look through the cameras to see it at the main gate in the compound

every time you start a new heist everything resets all the loot, bolt cutters, grappling hooks, guard uniforms & supply truck will have to be found again

if you did a scoping mission already then go back to the island to scope it again then everything will be still there

i am actually in the second heist preps. i mean, when i scope the island while this heist, go off, and go again to scope etc, will then the spawn location of the truck stay the same as ever since the heist started?

 

but maybe i dont need a truck, i thought it would be the best for the ONE OF US award. but do i only need to enter the compound in disguise or do i also need to sneak out undetected to get it?

Have you check the cameras again to look at the main gate camera?

yes, but iirc there was no truck in sight. but if it was so - can i re-hack the signal-tower for another camer scope?

You dont need to rehack. just open your phone and use the app in the bottom right corner.

Also like i stated previously if it is at the main gate during the finale it will actually be driven around the island

In my opinion, the guard uniform is the most user friendly way to go. Gives you free reign of the island. I always look for it now and depending on its location I'll decide the entry point. If I can find the truck good, otherwise the grappling hook. if not you can always shoot a guard outside and find a keycard. Once inside only have to worry about the red cone guards. 

 

After stealing the primary target you can just ride out to at least the main dock with out the guards interfering. It won't be under 15 minutes but it's the best way to go

Forget the outfits, why not just enter through the tunnel?

If solo: Get primary target, cash from wall safe, and any painting(s) in the office. Then if bags full exit via swimming, else drive bike to dock, get whatever is there, grab a boat, and leave.

If grouped: Get primary target, cash from wall safe, and all gold you can get. Then leave the same as above.

 

No need to scout anything but the primary target.

I quadruple Check all Gate Cams, but there ist no Truck.

But everytime i am on the Island for the Treasure Hunt,

i check the other spawn locations. Its crazy. NO TRUCK?!

 

I cant find the f*cking truck?! Is there a known bug of this?

Guard disguise and grappling hook works also well, without truck and hook but disguise, try to kill some guards at the side entrances to drop a keycard.

 

Have you discovered the drainage tunnel? Even if you don't use it as an entrance the tool works as a wirecutter.

 

BTW I have seen the truck driving around, does this mean, you can't collect it then? Does shooting the truck driver work?

I tried swimming away tonight, but the mission failed for some reason when I got far away from the island. I didn't get shot or drown. No idea why it didn't work.
