Modder dropped Navy Revolver on me, will I still be able to do the challenge?

So I recently moved on to PC and had managed to avoid modders for the most part, but two days ago some dude started dropping money bags on me. I left the session ASAP and only got 30k, but eventually I noticed I got some weapons from him.

 

One of them was the navy revolver, so I'm wondering if I'll still be able to do the serial killer clue hunt + the 250k reward for finishing it and the headshots, or if I'm sh*t outta luck and got locked out of that event.

Did you still have the revolver after restarting the game? If yes, contact Rockstar Support and have them remove it.

I have had weapons dropped on me in the past, but restarting the game usually fixes it for me.
