Bounty hunter player bounties broken?

I do really enjoy this change to the bounty hunter role. It's a lot of fun chasing down another players. And when you have a bounty yourself it's far better than just dealing with lots of annoying NPCs.

 

There does seem to be something broken with this though. I don't know if anyone else has checked the award for player bounties but mine is not increasing at all. It's quite annoying because I've dropped off loads and not been credited for any of them.

The award only counts when it's a 20$ or more bounty and the bounty is not dead and hasn't surrendered.

I don't know. When they surrender they turn into a NPC. Dead ones are just bodies. I think that's causing issues.

I don't know why the small bounties don't count at all.

I don't think there is even any payout for dropping them off. I've given up doing that now and just shoot, burn them and leave them where they are.

I’ve already filed a support ticket with Rockstar, but perhaps others should too.

 

This is the first time I’ve read stipulations that a player bounty must be turned-in alive and over $20.

 

There’s zero indication of this in-game, and the chances a player has over a $20 is very low.

 

Award simply states turn-in player bounty targets.

 

Additionally, I’ve had several player bounties glitch out just as I was steps away from turning them in — where the player bounty mission suddenly ended for no reason even if there was plenty of time left on the clock and even literally picked-up and dropped the body off within the yellow circle over-and-over again never getting credit then the timer ran out.

 

I love the player bounty concept, but it’s got several bugs to be worked out IMO.

Wasn't the award originally created prior to the new lower player bounty?  So it would make sense that this was overlooked by Rockstar.

I wouldn't have thought so. It was the amount that triggered the bounty mission to start. After that then it should be just down to whether or not you turn it in.

 

And I don't think it was $20 back then anyway. Wasn't it around $10?

Honestly not sure, never had my bounty up that high to be a bounty, and also never went after one

@No Homing Thanks for the info.  The new awards are bugged as well.  The buckles do not appear in your inventory.  The bounty system in GTAO was so much better.  I must have collected 5000 player bounties.  They tried here and get an A for effort, but get an F for application.

I agree. Any player with a bounty should always be visible on the map to those with the enhanced bounty hunter role.

There are no buckles for the new awards.

I think the no new belt buckles reflects the fact they’ve like already covered a sh*t ton of awards and buckles.

 

I’m glad we can earn Bounty Hunter XP after max rank towards Gold + Cash for the resettable 10,000XP Award.

 

wish the pay was higher but it beats earning nothing after Rank 30.

Unlike the buckles you can just reset 10x, it also is unlimited; I've done it at least 10x already, with no Roman

numeral next to it like the limited reset buckles.

 

When $$$ ones are often 400 plus XP, it doesn't take that long to get the 10K for .5 gold/$100.

 

After I do my 9 role ones, if the 7 are irritating posse/hard to get PVP ones, I'll often bang out some bounties.

 

Player bounties seem kind of goofy. I'd try it, but people would probably just kill me? I still don't have

the award for spending time in jail. I'm not even sure how you do it, just kill townspeople/lawmen enough?

 

"not dead and hasn't surrendered"? How even? Lasso/hogtie only?

You need to be be caught as a bounty and taken in alive.
