Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

If majority of the cars in the US are automatics, why don't they creep forward when you leave them unattended in GTA?

For example when jacking a car from an NPC, no matter how unexpected it might be and whether he has time to put it in park mode or not, the car stays still when you throw him out. Same thing when you jump out of a moving car. I get that the games in 3D Universe were maybe too basic for this to be taken account to, however this unrealism still persisted into IV/V. I hope that in VI, they finally fix this.

Have you looked at any traffic car in V? It’s almost always a manual, even the cadillac landbarge

Because its a game, no really thats just it.

I mean by that logic, any kind of realistic addition that's added after GTA III is pointless. I don't say we mustn't be able to jack cars, I just say it must creep a bit forward before the character can get in. Only in case which we non-physically force the driver out(like with a gun or threatening) it must stay still.

Too much realism isn't fun. The illusion of realism is.
