ghostsoap01
I want to reduce my character's makeup opacity. Only way to do it is editing my appearance in the character creator. I remember a while back it would totally mess up your character's facial sliders. Is that still a problem?
Direwrath
My daughter had toned down the makeup on her character about a month ago and it didn't do anything to ruin her sliders, nor give her that stretched face look that happened before. I personally haven't tried it but if she was able to do it maybe they fixed the problem?

For a couple of years I've been waiting for them to fix this obvious issue. You should be able to change makeup opacity from the hairdresser. It's really stupid that you can't. I haven't messed with my main character at all but I did go into the creator (and quit the game rather than exit just to be sure) so I could note down all the slider positions. I then used the setting to create a second character and they ended up looking identical so it seems the slider positions were correct and didn't change on their own. Its one of those really specific issues that is likely to never be addressed, as it doesn't affect gameplay or monetization. Its really a pain in the ass that we need this work around, and it makes me think nobody at r* play-tested with a female character at any point. Dark Spark
I used to encounter the altered slider issue a long time ago, but nowadays the issue appears to be fixed. Back when it did occur, the only sliders that changed were the ones governed by the square grid, and it was always the vertical component. The workaround was to give the cursor a slight wiggle: If your face changed noticeably, simply move the cursor to the opposite side. For example-- if the nose is supposed to be on the low side two squares down, you would find that cursor two squares up. Simply drop the cursor so it ends up the same distance but in the ooposite direction.
