Machetes?

So, I clicked on a machete in one of the vendor lists (I don't recall which one), expecting to get to see what it looked like.  Instead, it bought the thing.  Oh well, I thought, I was thinking of getting one anyway.  I equipped it, and CRINGED.  It's a bloody stupid looking monstrosity with spikey edges a big skull thing on it and so forth.  It looks ridiculous.  I don't WANT it... so how do I get rid of it?  I can't seem to even store it in the weapon locker.

 

Any thoughts?

Don't think you can get rid of it. It's stupid you can't store melee weapons in the locker. But you know, R* listens to the players so maybe you could send feedback requesting them to let us store those weapons too.

I wish you could toss them as a throwing weapon like you can with some melee weapons, I'd hurl that thing into the friggin ocean.

Beware, I call that one the cursed blade because no matter what, whenever I leave the gunsmith after cleaning my guns that obnoxious thing is sticking out of my sheath instead of my bone handled knife. So I have to equip it, than unequip it to get my knife back.

The exact same thing happens for me too.  I cringe every time I see it.

The only way to get rid of "unuseful" weapons and machetes, is sadly to create a "new" character...

 

If you have plenty of gold and money i suggest you do that, the only drawback is that you start over on low level...

 

NEVER buy any weapons from the Fence or Madam Nazaar! They are just cosmetic...

Yeah, I bought the lance knife to have a little variety from what everyone carries...and I have to re-equip it constantly: when I load in, after any animation requiring the knife (which always shows the regular hunting knife instead), after a cut scene.

It automatically reverts back to the stock hunting knife.

I regret buying that one, and also that other special one. Honestly I don't even know why I did buy it, the thing is basically one of those cheap 20 dollar blades that you buy from those import knife shops at the mall.

That's another problem, I like the bone handled knife and it never stays in my sheath.

To me it's the equivalent of the radio always changing in GTA.

Drives me nucking futs and I've been killed while changing both of these numerous times.

It's super annoying but you know they're never gonna fix it, and honestly there are many, many, many far more important things to look at.

It's just one of those things that eats at you over time and erodes your enjoyment.

To me it's just like the mares growing balls, or the horses suddenly carrying pelts. I just go get it fixed and hope I don't have to deal with it again that game. 

Lol, I've killed myself in GTA changing the radio station too. Oh, sure I'm flying off road and into the ocean, but I had to listen to my darn rock station!

So I was looking at my load out and do you think that the reason that machete keeps appearing is because somehow I have it equipped as a melee? Even though it sits in the slot with my knives? How do I go about unequipping it? Because as far as melee goes I only have my fists equipped.

 

 

I didn't notice that the handle and pommel kind of look like the chestburster from alien.
