Is there a quicker and easier way to organize between garages? Like on the rockstar app or something? If not how do YOU personally organize them quickly? Im confusing myself i keep forgetting which garage has what because i keep driving them from garage to garage and i have a lot more to go

I've just been organizing my garages after getting back into the game a bit more often.

For the most part things weren't bad, but my system was to keep vehicles sorted by class.

Supers in the CEO office.

Sports in the Nightclub.

Sports Classics between Del Perro and Eclipse.

Muscle cars in the 2 garages in Eastern Los Santos.

SUVs in the South Shambles garage.

Sedans and Coupes in the hillside garage.

*Off roads in the Paleto house.

*Bikes in the Motorcycle club.

This left the Arcade and Tinsel for random other vehicles.

Found it easiest to just call the mechanic whilst outside of the garage I was filling while browsing YT to pass the 1 minute cooldown between deliveries.

Easiest was if I was just flipping one full garage to the other - call mechanic for car from A, swap with car from B, then drive next car from B to A and repeat.

Don't know of any quicker way.

Good luck!

Writing on somewhere (piece of paper, Microsoft Word) before starting locating vehicles might help.

I keep a .doc file that contains list of which car is in which garage and what color or hex code has on it.

I also sorted garages by class too.

Office (60) and Nightclub (30) is reserved for classics.

★ Office 1: Domestic/Muscles

★ Office 2: Domestic/Other

★ Office 3: Import/Sports & Exotics

★ Nightclub 2: Import/Compacts & Sedans

★ Nightclub 3: Import/Sports & Exotics (Livery)

★ Nightclub 4: Trucks & Off Road

10 car garages on the east part of town is reserved for moderns.

★ Supply Street: Exotics

★ Popular Street: Sports & Exotics (Livery)

★ Murrieta Heights: Sports

★ Exceptionalists Way: Sports

★ Greenwich Parkway: Tuners & Compacts

★ South Shambles: Trucks & Off Road

Other vehicles has just been scattered around

★ Eclipse Penthouse: Executive (Sedans & SUVs)

★ Procopio Drive: Open Wheels

★ Maze Bank Arena: Armored & Weaponized

★ Arcade: Wacky stuff

★ Clubhouse: Good bikes

★ Penthouse: Meh bikes

★ Facility: Garbage i feel too lazy to throw away

★ Auto Shop: Itasha (Livery)

There is no quick way to move around cars.

I can usually judge what cars are in a certain garage by the area the garage is located. And also how fast I can select them from the Mechanics menu

For example. If I have 24 garages, the first and last few garages are the most important cars. Weaponized or otherwise. Because once the mechanic asks. Its just up or down a couple times.

So for me, it's kinda like "Where does the garage fall in the mechanic listing"

(re-)organizing my garages is my guilty pleasure.

ATM I have

Racing Garage (all top cars in each category)

Crusing Garage (my  favourite cars for show off/ crusing)

Combat Garage (my war toys)

Retire Garage (my outdated racing cars)

All other garages : cars I have won, but not interested in (lucky wheel/events/rewards)

I've started keeping my weaponised vehicles in the Arena garages - with Casino prizes in the office.  The rest I'm just shuffling as I go.

Too bad there isn’t a feature similar to the blue corona inside each garage that you could control remotely from a computer or maybe the MCT. That would make organizing so much easier.

I like to keep a garage (currently the arcade) free as a "pool" garage, then use it for cars I want to drive more, swapping them out etc.

Agreed! This (or something like it) is what I've wanted for a long time. My garages were sorted years ago, but I didn't keep up with the organization over time. Now that I've got 180+ vehicles at any given moment, it'd take hours to rearrange them.

for years i have suggested R* should add a garage manager that allow you to move/arrange vehicles between all your garages.

the current system made sense back in the day when you could only own 1 property up to 10 vehicles but right now when you can own some 20 garages/200+ vehicles, the game is in need of a proper way of moving vehicles between garages without having to physically drive each car from one location to other.

it been a little over a year since i last rearranged my garages, the last time it took me some 2 weeks to get my garages sorted. there are 195 vehicles in my collection.

Yep, the garage system is very outdated and can take a long time to organize your cars and can become frustrating at some point.

I hope that Rockstar will make a much easier system in the future, maybe with the new improved standalone version, until then:

Maze Bank Tower
Office Garage 1: Super Cars
Office Garage 2: Classic Cars
Office Garage 3: Racing Cars
Eclipse Penthouse 1: JDM Corner
Eclipse Penthouse 2: Sports
Eclipse Penthouse 3: Sports
Wild Oats Dr, 3655: Lowriders
Richards Majestic, 2: Old Supers
Weazel Plaza, 101: Old Sports
West Vinewood Nightclub Garage
B2: Luxury, Sedans
B3: Luxury, SUVs
B4: Sports Classics
Casino Penthouse Garage: Random
Land Act Facility: Military
Videogeddon Arcade: Random
La Mesa Vehicle Warehouse: Specials
Maze Bank Arena
Workshop Level: Muscle
Garage Level B1: Muscle
Garage Level B2: Off-Road
Del Perro Beach Clubhouse: Bikes
The Aquarius Yacht
Fort Zancudo Hangar, 3499: Jets

I have struggled with this dilemma for a very long time. Day one player, now have more than 150+ vehicles and just recently did another move of some stuff, but I'm totally unhappy with the changes I've made, but reverting back will take ages. I'm gonna redo it again soon. Gdamn my OCD.

I relocated all my garages to eclipse towers, only trips are to nightclub, arcade, CEO and Doomsday facility.

I have a spreadsheet that I update when I organize my garages. For easily moving stuff around, I like to have all of my apartments in the Eclipse tower so I can just drive the car out of one garage and directly into the next. Now that the mechanic cooldown is only 2 minutes, it's fairly quick to just call him too. It also helps if both garages are full, because the cars swap places. (Note: Be careful because buying a new car or driving in a car off the street and putting it into a full garager will delete the old car.)

Below is how my cars were organized before the most recent update. These are in the order of how they appear when I call the Mechanic.

Eclipse Suite 1 - My favorite cars
Eclipse Suite 2 - Best cars for racing
Eclipse Suite 3 - Muscle Cars
Eclipse Towers 3 - Hot Rods / Benny's
Eclipse Towers 5 - Off Roaders
Clubhouse - Motorcycles
Route 68 - Sandkings for spawning/selling
Office 1 - James Bond inspired and Dewbauchee
Office 2 - SecuroServ: Collection of CEO spawn vehicles
Office 3 - Sprunk livery vehicles
Facility - Militarized vehicles
Nightclub Entrance - Cool car to have in the club
Nightclub B2 - Super Cars
Nightclub B3 - Unique spawn vehicles
Night Club B4 - Movie inspired cars
Casino - Cars won from the casino wheel
Arcade - Copies of the casino heist getaway cars
Terrorbyte - Oppressor Mk2

All of my cars have their own spots based on location and what the car is/does or just personal preference. I never really forget where anything is, but I dont have like 80 cars or anything.

I just call the car up and put it in the garage I want it in unless i fancy driving it over to the safehouse

My 20-space Grotti garage is near full. I wish R* would add more office garages, I can't see how they take up space.

Yeah I have my garages organized since the PS3 days, obviously I have more garages now than before, now I have my primary garage of my primary house in Eclipse Towers with High End classic pre 2016 cars(Adder, Zentorno, Turismo R, Entity XF, Progen T20, Osiris...I only changed one vehicle and was the Kuruma to move it to another garage and use that space for the Opressor MKII for easy access from my primary house, then I have the office garages with post 2016 High end vehicles(Stromberg, Deluxo, Yugular, Cyclone, Krieger...), basically when I moved to PC coming from PS3, I wanted to have that organization, and then the other garages of other houses and the casino penthouse garage are filled with random sh*tty vehicles or meme vehicles like the Brioso and Weevil for example that I have catching dust there lol

having brand specific garages it can be a pain, specially when you want to keep them all in a single place.

i used to have my benefactor collection in one of the office garages but the collection outgrew the office garage i had.

right now that collection occupies all 3 levels of the nightclub 🤣

1st if you organize your cars in groups they will be easier to keep track of and find.  For example I have a garage for trucks only,  another for supers only,  etc

2nd,  two ways to move them around...

  a) 2 cars per trip - Make sure the garages you are switching cars in are full this way you can use the "garage full swap" feature.  Now drive a car to the full garage you want.  Replace a car.  Go right outside and call the mechanic for another car,  drive it in the same garage and replace another car.  Get in another car and drive it to a different garage then repeat (replace a car then go outside and call another).  Basically you move two cars per trip.

 b) Office garage + assistant -  Drive car A into the office garage and replace the first or last car.  This will be the designated swap spot.  Use your assistant to call car B from a garage you want car A in.  Drive car B into the garage and replace car A.  Now rinse and repeat.  Use your assistant to call a car from the garage you want car B in.  Drive it in the office garage and replace car B. 👍

Something I only realised recently, as I've been avoiding the place, is that Eclipse towers has more properties than you can buy, so other than office, facility etc you can keep all your cars in one building. I think 8 apartments?

Also if money isn't much of a problem, don't forget you can trade places in to move 20 cars in one go.

A supers

B trucks

Buy C, trade in A

Buy A, trade in B

Buy B, trade in C

Now you have

A trucks

B supers

Use a cheap 2-car for C, you won't lose anything.

I got my sorted by brands, except one garage for the odd Benny’s, and one for the odd and ugly (the dark Arcade).

Then a excel to keep track.

I’ve found the easiest way to move around a bunch of cars isn’t to drive them back and forth between garages, nor is it to wait for the mechanic’s car delivery cool-down. Instead, use your CEO Garage.

First, multiple garages in any apartment buildings, and you need to move cars from one to another at the same building, do that first.

Also, make sure that all cars that are in the correct garages are also in the correct spaces within those garages.

Now for the fun part. Go to your office assistant and ask him or her to deliver a car for you. Which car? Any car that’s in a wrong garage, it doesn’t matter which. Get it delivered and drive it into your CEO garage, first floor, first space. (First floor first space just so you don’t have to scroll up or down at all.) Just go ahead and swap it with whatever’s there.

Next, go back to your assistant and get another car delivered. But this time, get the car that’s in the spot where the last one is supposed to be. Drive it in and swap it with the previous car. This puts that car where it belongs.

Now you just keep repeating this over and over. Keep getting the assistant to deliver the car that’s in the space where the car in floor one/space one belongs, and swapping it, which puts that car where it belongs. Eventually you’ll have cycled through everything that’s in the wrong place, swapping them one by one to their right places.

In my experience, this takes about a minute per car, and that’s twice as fast as waiting for the mechanic’s cool-down, and a lot easier than driving back and forth between garages across the map.

I use the assistent in the office, the mechanic and drive from garage to garage. (I drive when there is a cooldown)

Have done it this weekend. Organizing all my cars. I started saturday morning thinking "oh let me put these cars there" and before i knew it i was organizing them all.

It also took me half of sunday to complete :D
