A smuggler’s paradise, Cayo Perico has always been a treasure trove. It’s no surprise that guests have reported seeing Treasure Chests on land and underwater.

These stashes can be found during Scoping Missions for The Cayo Perico Heist, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for one Hidden Cache on land and one underwater while you do your reconnaissance – as these containers are sure to be filled with valuables.

 

Speaking of explorers and treasure-hunters, those determined and dogged enough to find 5 Hidden Caches by January 6th will receive an additional gift of GTA$100,000.

Thanks to murica giving the finger to global warming agreements etc, large parts of europe dont even get snow anymore, i would've liked it a few days more in gta tbh

Don't really see the point in bothering with these for a mere 100k reward that doesn't come immediately, 15k per each chest is laughably low by today's standards so there's not much of a point in looking for these after said reward has been deposited.

The 100K reward is for finding the Hidden Caches around San Andreas. You know, the Sonar thing. The newswire is being a bit vague about this, I dunno. Could be the chests or could be the HIdden Caches. Whoever wrote the Newswire ought to be slapped. I bet they're responsible for removing the Brioso 300 as well.

I just assumed it was for finding treasure chests but after reading your comment and reading newswire again I'm really not sure

Because they're talking about treasure chests and hidden Caches as if they're two different things.. 

Even with your fancy underlining it's still unclear whether the $100k is for finding treasure chests on cayo perico or hidden Caches in San Andreas
