How Important Are Disruption (Optional) Preps?

If you plan on going stealth the entire time, not very important I guess

As above, not very. If you've poisoned the water then they won't be able to hit a barn door at 12 paces, never mind a moving target. Also their armour isn't like the Casino if you don't do Duggan's Shipments - i.e. they don't have bullet proof headshots.

They're  useless as long as you're doing it stealthily. Juggernaut can be pistol whipped and guards can be easily killed with headshots unlike in the casino heist where killing guards was sh*t due to their helmets if you didn't do the prep.

I just headshot him too

I've done this too many times and it magically sets off the alarms, even when he's not being killed in front of an active camera or near anyone else.

I just give the guy a good wack if I ever need to deal with him.

Hasn't been an issue at all. Headshot with pistol and he's down, no alarm. Most of the time I just avoid him.

Sounds like a great strategy, but what if he stumlbes across the body of a guard you whacked or shot dead? Won't this trip the alarm?

I've never had a dead body set off anything. Once they are dead they seem to be invisible.

I know this is an issue with the casino heists and the security cameras. Just wanted to make sure that wasn't the case here.

Body Armour is very easy and useful even when going Stealth incase you need to kill two Guards at once. You can shoot one in the head and then fill the other one with body shots before he can scream and alert people.

I wouldn't kill anyone near a camera unless you have to, and if you do, take out the camera too.

This is what I usually do so I think I will do this Disruption prep, thanks!

Here is a follow up question: Assuming I poisoned the water supply AND I get spotted in the compound, which happens to me sometimes because I suck at Stealth. Does this change the value of the other two Disruption Preps, aside from Armor, I mean. Because I think I will continue doing that one for the time being. Because I am not good at getting two headshots in a row on adjacent guys.

I have never poisoned the water but if you do the Weapon Disruption the Guards only have basic Pistols and the Snipers only have sh*tty Sub-Machine Guns. Air Support stops Buzzards that will follow you even into the scrubland and chip away at your health.

If you want the easiest Heist do them all.

Delicious Potato

If you have no problem with being sneaky, all you need is a good gun, sonar deflector, torch, cloner and safe code/plasma. I still do all disruption preps because submarine missiles are very fun to use, plus poopy pants powder is really useful during emergency situations.

If I go solo, I don't do the disruption missions as they are completely unnecessary when going sneaky all the way. I count poisoning the water as part of these missions.

If I take friends, I do all of the missions because something always goes wrong and we end up having to escape while detected. 😆 I don't bother with restarting then because it's just to have fun, not do quick restarts for an hour.

Using the assault shotgun with suppressor to kill two guards always works for me because I fire two quick shots at their heads and they don't even have to be accurate.

You can also line the two guards up to deal two headshots with one sniper round.

if you can do heist without getting detected its not needed.  if you fight, you definatley need to do armor and weapons.  air support i found not needed

What!? How do you poison the water supply? I got 1 of 6 poins of interest, the 1 being the control tower. What are the rest?

I find them pointless but I try to do the heist  as stealthy as possible, and we rarely break stealth inside the compound, if at all.

If you were planning to go in loud, I'd do them all. Why not make it a little easier?

If I were going to rank my perception of their usefulness more generally, it would be weapons, then Buzzards, then armor last. Weaker guard weapons make running around under fire easier. The Buzzards pretty much suck but if they're overhead and you're on foot, AND guards are already shooting at you, it can be a nasty combination. As for the armor, it seems to not matter much; their heads aren't protected and I'm always going for headshots anyway, but even body shots with the new machine gun will kill a fully-armored guard pretty quickly.

I think skipping the armor prep gives the "Juggernaut" a BP helmet. He seemed hard to kill with that sh*tty ass Ak-47 w/FMJ rounds. What a terrible weapon load out that was.

Not that important once you know the best way of grinding the heist, which involves staying stealthy and consistently getting elite challenge bonuses.

Everything. And I repeat EVERYTHING depends on your approach vehicle, compound entry point, secondary loot, and how many players you plan to take on the heist.

STOP trying to find the "meta" It's turning Cayo into the bogdan problem. 😆

You're gonna burn yourself out on the heist. It's a fun mission. Why do the same sh*t over and over?

Disruption missions. Lets just say they are all 100% important. That way you cannot point fingers when someone fails the heist.

I agree, I enjoy mixing it up completely. From solo stealth runs (where these preps are not needed at all), to solo loud ones (with these becoming more ideal), varying up the entry/exit, and either with friends or randoms alike.

Much like all the heists really, I just love the variety in what we can do. With original heists, I like the different roles we can do and like using different toys/weapons/routes etc, DDH the same, and the casino offering much more freedom like this CP heist.

Met many good gamers doing that too. Many idiots of course, but still good entertainment. :)

If you're Peter Perfect the perfect heister, not important at all. If you are fallable, then do the helicopters at least, they will eff you up if you make a mistake.

Find the cutting powder (3 possible locations) and dump it into a water tower (always the same 2 locations).
