Dr Busta
I am surprised that I didn't find any topic about this. This game has the best cutscenes in the series IMO Anyway, my favorite cutscene in the game is The intro for "Rigged to blow" Everything about this cutscene is perfect, The voice acting is perfect, the animation, and the way Niko talked about his past to someone that he doesn't even know but somehow trusts feels relatable This cutscene reminds me a lot of "when the Funday comes" from VCS it's so similar Vic spoke with Louise (who's also abused by her husband) about his hard and unlucky life the only difference is in Vic's case the abusive husband didn't show up and that made him go out with her? Also, this cutscene has a rare Niko smile My second favorite cutscene is "crime and punishment" This cutscene just shows how badass Niko is and how he doesn't care about his life anymore Which makes me feel bad for Roman who's the exact opposite also the way Niko says "If he's an asshole yes" is perfect and the way Roman Screams and seeing Dimitri for the first time treating The very nice establishes how of a hypocrite he will turn out to be Most of the cutscenes in the game are good I can talk about each one of them But there's that part of the game where they become less interesting for me and they become just do this and that but these are few exceptions FanEu7 and billiejoearmstrong8
Payne
I don’t know the names of missions so I’m gonna write some quotes. -“Big mouth prick” -“FIB?! Do i look homosexual?” -“I’m sure your wife doesn’t need to sleep around. I’m joking! I’m sure she does.” -Cutscenes from Cousins Bellic Probably 98% of cutscenes in this game are good, but the ones above are what i could remember. billiejoearmstrong8
The basement scene is the greatest and funniest scene in any GTA game. Also the greatest first line/appearance by a character ("Shut the f*ck up! My f*cking wife is watching television") Edited December 28, 2020 by billiejoearmstrong8 NightmanCometh96, MrPikmin16, Dr Busta and 2 others
Alexlecj
Weekend at Florian's. The way Bernie switches between personalities fascinates me. Dr Busta, NightmanCometh96 and billiejoearmstrong8
Algonquin Assassin
It's so hard to pick one since GTA IV has so many wonderful and beautifully constructed cutscenes. I can't think of a single cutscene I didn't like honestly. However the one that perhaps stick out the most is Niko's revelation to Roman on why he has come to Liberty City after he kills Vlad. I love how it's always foggy and Roman's reaction is priceless since he had been grilling Niko for some time, but I don't think he was ready to hear what Niko had to say. It's just so awesome how he sums everything up. billiejoearmstrong8, NightmanCometh96, String and 3 others

This cutscene still confuses me Everytime I play the game How did Niko swear not to kill anyone in this city even though he came for a revenge mission ? and how did he think that perhaps here things will be different ? Is there something that I didn't notice till now ?
Fake Lilina
I think for me, it has to be the cutscene where Niko kills Pegorino. iiCriminnaaL, billiejoearmstrong8, NightmanCometh96 and 1 other

Is there something that I didn't notice till now ? It’s not really that confusing. I believe Niko never intended to go to Liberty City to kill anyone, but Roman’s gambling lies and deception forced his hand and forced him back into killing even though it’s something he didn’t really want to do, but wasn’t given a choice. I also believe he didn’t want to kill Florian and/or Darko since in this scene he says he’s seeking answers never explicitly saying he wants to kill them. This is why there’s a choice to kill Darko or spare him as it’s up to us what we think Niko would do depending how we’ve played the game up until that point. As a side note I also think Niko’s hesitance to tell Roman what he was doing in Liberty City is partly due that Niko didn’t want to involve Roman’s in his personal business. Maybe after killing Vlad Niko has some kind of mental breakdown after all the pressure he was under deciding to tell Roman there and then. I don’t know, but either way it’s still a powerful and emotive scene. iiCriminnaaL, billiejoearmstrong8, Dr Busta and 3 others
String
Intro cutscene of Three Leaf Clover where you are introduced to the full set of the Mcreary's. You get the feeling something big is about to happen and the dialogue is pretty good too That Special Someone where you finally meet Darko. Contender for best in the series Algonquin Assassin, MrPikmin16, FanEu7 and 2 others
NightmanCometh96
In terms of lighter moments, I've always enjoyed the Out of the Closet cutscene. Roman's trollish laugh at the end in particular gets me every time. Spoiler Scenes like this are why I disagree with the "GTA IV is too dark/depressing" argument, but I digress. JaeDan 101
I love the cutscene where Brucie tries to show his punch attack to Niko on their first met in Brucie's garage, and Niko says: "Try it again!" Then suddenly Niko twisted Brucie's arm I also loved the cutscene in the mission "The Cousins Bellic" where Niko shares his sad moments/problems to Roman, it was a drama moment in that time, and Niko didn't know Roman was sleeping GTA IV has the funniest cutscenes Edited February 9, 2021 by JaeDan 101 Dr Busta, billiejoearmstrong8 and MrPikmin16
