Adding DLCPack car is crashing my game.

So I decided to install mods again on my GTA game (I got a new laptop).

 

I followed the instructions:

 

add 'CARXYZ' in mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/

add <Item>dlcpacks:/CARXYZ/</Item> in dlclist.xml in mods/update/update.rpf/common/data where dlclist is.

 

The game is crashing. I don't understand why?

 

The ASI Loader is installed, scripthook installed, scripthook dot net installed.

 

What am I missing?

We don't know for sure but if you can answer these questions it might give us a better idea.

 

1. If you remove the entries from the dlclist, does the game load without crashing?

2. Did you install a modded gameconfig? If yes, which one.

3. How many cars are you trying to install?

4. If it's more than 1, are they combined into a pack or individual dlcpacks.

5. If it's just one car, which mod is it? A link to the mod will let us check it to make sure it isn't the mod that is causing the crash.

 

Edit: Just re-read your post and I don't see OpenIV in the list of things you have installed.

Interesting. I never did that before and never crashed.

Sometimes you get lucky if the cars aren't too overly detailed, other times you don't even get a single installed car before it crashes.

 

Good to hear you got it sorted though.
