Real Kill to Death ratio.

You're trying to roll up several things that make you cry into one thing. First it was anyone with a higher KD then you (it′s ok when you kill people but not when they get you). Now it′s ″tryhards″. You're almost at full SJW levels of whining about violence in video games. 

 

 

I can tell you're glad I′m here by how much longer and more angry your replies are getting.

As a K/D warrior, I also want the visibility gone. 

 

All my chars got a double digit kd and I gotta say it's legit. No cheese. 

 

The first time I logged into GTAO I went to the Ammunation, only to have a player shotgun me when I came outside and spawn kill me one more time. 

From there I knew freemode is just as much a shoot on sight battle zone like gta 4 multiplayer was. 

 

Friends I only made thru coop and missions, seldom in freemode. 

 

But the kd gives a false impression. I help out, a lot. 

Carry survivals, heist setups, you name it. 

Still I also get kicked or attacked or hate messages because of my high kd. 

 

KD warrior was a new word I learned. 

If this visibility, and also the map icon visibility would get removed.. 

 

Game experience would be much more entertaining

Regarding a "real" KD thats tough.

 

For those of us who haven't gone out of our way to kill anyone, there is still a chance that people have died as either a direct or indirect result of our actions....and with the fact we're all still alive I know any real kd ratio we have must be at least 1.0+

No way you go to double digits without cheese. You must be exploiting most/all the abusive methods, spamming bst,  fighting unskilled players. Vs experienced pvpers or overall with fair play that's no chance.

Back in the days when I played Day of Defeat, you could make a hotkey to kill yourself, not to get the enemy the kill, but it did cost you a kill. Obviously the idea is pretty old rather to kill yourself than being killed (I only scarcely used it to avoid being killed with melee wepaons). I wonder how it works on consoles though and the way it is exercised in GTA is really pathetic from what I have seen on videos. If you played like that in DoD, you'd probably ended up with no kills at all.

To be 100% legit you would have to take on that Khanjali and ride out to the nearest safe house. Not teleport after 1 kill. If someone manages to roll up on you with a tank they usually can get 2 to 6 kills I would say. You gotta eat that no matter how much bullsh*t it feels like. Same with those idiots who P996 Lazer players all day.. Can anyone tell me what happens if they are in danger?

K/D is bologna and decreases the amount of unique events that can occur on gtaonline for the simple fact so many hundreds of thousands are afraid to play the game and take an "L" as the kids call it. Imo, they've narrowed down the use of all vehicles to only the most OP because of this.

The most pathetic thing is:

Attacking a person that is minding his/her/its bussiness, get your cheeks clapped by that person, being unable to accept defeat and then call in a buddy with a modmenu to remove the person that you attacked (and that clapped your greenhorn cheeks) from the session.

And afterwards spamming the person with messages like "Hahaaha my frind kicked you, you lost nub. No skilll"

Yep, this is so true. You might not care about kd/stats yourself, but the amount of people caring is insane. And yeah, it really hurts freeroam pvp, game modes, racing, overall fun and what not.

Well said. I really like comparing stats though...even in-game when people try to negate my legitimacy or just for sh*ts and giggles. Like bro, how many tires you've popped? How many miles on a bike have you travelled..etc. Certain stats speak volumes about a persons character.

 

It's amazing how man "One trick ponies" as I call them, I find in this game. They are good a *very* little and outside of freemode are basically useless... Believe me

KDR should only be a stat that's effected by death match modes, not free roam. It would help limit all the sweaty desperate tryhard loser bullsh*t.

Yes there is a legit problem here, but they will never seriously try to address it. All the little EWO and suicide tweaks haven't helped a bit. The game is tryhard- and troll-bait.

Fun fact: This also applies to One on One Deathmatches (the ones noobs invite you when you kill them once) on Freemode too.

 

How it isn't applied in regular Freemode at this point is beyond me.

I do have to laugh at some of the higher K/D kiddies who disconnect the millisecond you get a kill on them - but the time they spend reloading into the game is precious minutes they're not griefing some low level player.
