Real Kill to Death ratio.

We all know the most pathetic thing to do in this game is kill yourself.. So... The big question for me is...

 

Why couldn't the Kill to Death ratio be represented by ALL kills and ALL deaths across the board?

 

Who has a better formula? Just for sh*ts and giggles

Nuke the stat. Player on player kills are meaningless if you can cheese them, but on competitive game modes they could hold some merit, which isn't the case

K/D is meaningless, as long as it doesn't look modded. And I will judge players by their character's looks and outfit.

If only killing yourself was seen as a PvP death (EWO, blowing yourself up) we wouldn't have problem with K/D warriors in this game.

The objective of PvP in most normal games is to stay alive and kill your opponent. If you die first, you lose IMO.

I don't refrain from using dirty tactics in PvP, but I have too much self respect to use suicide.

I don't mind falling from heights, getting killed by npc, or teleporting out of combat, those don't have to affect K/D.

K/D should just removed from the game. It doesn't do anything and is so easy to cheat just have a friend start a new account and spend hours killing them. I bet most people bragging about their K/D ratio do that if it isn't modded.

I don't care about k/d. Reason why mine isn't so good with trying to get revenge as a solo player when other players kill you for no reason.

They should simply remove the stat. It serves no purpose other than giving squeakers something to brag about.

 

One place where it should stay is in the match ending screens (deathmatches for example) to show of the most efficient player and maybe even give that player a small cash/RP reward.

All player deaths should count towards KD including self inflicted, accidental or otherwise.

 

If you die for ANY reason, even suicide by cop, within 3 minutes of killing another player, that should lower your KD ratio.

 

1v1 KD tracking in freeroam should be abolished unless both parties agree to a 1v1 deathmatch and even then, the number should go away once finished as it is no longer important at that point.

The solution is so simple.  Just make it so freemode do not add to it only deathmatches and such.

as a person that never been too much into fps games(the only fps game i have played for years now is bf1), the kd stat means nothing to me.

 

as a long time gta 4 player, i was surprised when i first jumped into gtao and found theres a KD ratio stat that you can boost it in freeroam, it made no sense at first and almost 8 years later still make no sense to me.

 

its late for them to fix it now but for future games they should make it that only those kills within competitive modes count toward the kd stat.

 

this wont stop people from killing eachother but it will be less incentive for those that like to have a high kd, they will probably eat and breath death matches instead of wasting their "talent" in freeroam.

Rockstar has come to realize that griefers and those who care about their K/D rarely take the time to make legitimate money. Eliminating the K/D stat would provide relief to grinders and no incentive to griefers, resulting in (I believe) a decline in SharkCard sales.

KD ratio means sh*t on PC because of modders.   xbox and PS its a little more accurate representation of skill

I like to watch it go up.  I don’t play Deathmatches, I purely hunt bounties and defend myself in free roam.  Don’t care.

I kill players relentlessly just to watch it go up. It's my current goal for whatever reason.

 

However, should K/D only apply to PvP gamemodes other than freemode? Probably, as it would make it both accurate and legitimate. Is it too late now after 7 years? Absolutely.

Yeah that's why I kinda asked for the topic to be closed a couple days ago. It's not worth talking about. The games trash. Played by garbage people. Doing trashy things to protect their K/D. Their account is so pedestrian and worthless..the only thing that looks semi decent when looking at their players card is the little baby K/D they try so hard to desperately protect.

 

I haven't seen a mod in these neck of the woods for a mutha f*ckin minute 😆

Oh my heavens... I don't care about the people behind the stat. It was supposed to be a discussion about the broken algorithm and maybe a game to post your real K/D using social club stats.

The second you have to go to a GTA forum and start yet another thread whining about KD and calling for it to be taken out of a video game, you have shown it affects you severely and you care more about it then any of the ″KD warriors″ casually playing the video game as Rockstar designed it. 

 

You can say ″I don′t care about it/it doesn't matter″ all day but your actions said you do and it does. To you, at least.
