guerilla_man Posted December 26, 2020 Share Posted December 26, 2020 As you see I have been a Minecraft player for almost 9 years now or 8 years since it was released. There is no other video game like Minecraft. Why? Because you start off fresh in an open sand box infinite like world where you can gather as many items and blocks as you can to form your world into anything. Other games you have to go the way the game developer makes you play and what has been scripted in the game . But with Minecraft that ceases to exist. You have a random generated world where you can adventure and explore and build to your hearts content anything anywhere on any style or build style. You create your own adventure story. in which a game developer only programs the random generated structures and caves and Biomes. I feel Minecraft is great when you want to feel free in a game. Not saying Just because Minecraft gives you this freedom that is better then scripted games No. Not really saying any game is better then another game. Just pointing out the advantages Minecraft gives you all. All games are not perfect! some games are well developed.But Minecraft there is no end. They made me mad when they never let us know the super duper texture pack would fail. They were working on it for months and knew it would fail but never let us know . That's Just really dishonest and I am not sure if I trust mojang at all because they sold Minecraft to Microsoft. I am not saying this to sound hateful But they really trashed all Minecraft players in the process. No other game fell into this only Minecraft. why????? For a ten-year-old game, it really solidifies itself as as a staple game to all gamers. That texture pack failed because certain devices couldn't perform with the texture pack enabled, which is why they scraped the entire project altogether. If you have a decent graphics card, you can achieve the alternative which is raytracing, which has a lot of the same results like the texture pack. Crafting in Minecraft is so complex. They made it even more complex with the P.C minecraft version knowing hundreds of recipes. Other games it has a lot of crafting for example I played fallout 4 and didn't enjoy it because of the bugs and problems with crashing when you play Bethesda games in general. I never liked Bethesda games Just my personal opinion. Minecraft is so different Then all these other games because you receive Just about infinite resources. In fallout 4 you can not gather dirt or rocks or mine . You only gather materials to build shelters and etc. No mans sky gave you also unlimited exploration despite all the bugs with that. JaeDan 101 Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 Red Dead Redemption 2 is a bit similar to Minecraft. Because in RDR2, you can craft stuff and use it to refill health, dead eye, horse healing materials and more, just like in Minecraft.
