SBazzle12 Posted December 25, 2020 Share Posted December 25, 2020 So, I have went to the nightclub, bought the sub, went to the planning screen, went to the island, gathered intel (done with 1 other player so got 2 of each of the multiple guards clothing, bolt cutters, grappling hooks), found the files (the other player in the mission found them, I’m not sure if that’s the issue). Then returned to Los Santos. Then...nothing. If I go back to the planning screen, it says the same as before, launch gather intel mission to find the files. But I’ve done that twice now thinking I’d done something wrong the first time. I feel like I’m missing something really obvious and silly but I just don’t know how to progress to the rest of the heist. Have seen some people say to wait on a call from Pavel - it never comes. When I call him, the only option is to cancel the heist which is locked. Am I being really dumb and missing something very obvious?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was thinking the issue was because I launched the mission but the other player found the files which is the main purpose of the mission. But that also wouldn’t make sense. No options at all but to gather intel. Which I have done twice now. Rotorhead359 Posted December 25, 2020 Share Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) The game thinks you didn't gather the intel yet. Probably a bug. Start the mission from an invite-only session (after restarting your game in story mode, and loading an invite-only session from there) avoid public sessions, and do it alone, so you can be sure there's no interference from other players. I’ve watched numerous walkthroughs to see if I’m doing something wrong etc and it doesn’t seem that way. After the initial intel mission, does Pavel call? Is that how the second part starts? JamesTKirk Posted December 25, 2020 Share Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) it's locked until you complete all the required stuff, so fly back to the sub and cycle thru EVERY menu selection you have available right now and see if there are any that says 'required' or 'manditory' or similar... complete those and the actual Heist tab will then unlock. It confused me too, and to be honest, this entire mission still confuses me to no end. LOL But I did get to where you are, and had the same questions as you. My problem right now is completing the heist, I'm like oh-for-20 and except for one time when I actually got outside the compound and almost escaped, the other 19 tries have all been miserable, i lose stealth and i suck at fighting games, shootouts with guns is NOT why I play this game. LOL I don't find the heist to be very much fun so far, but I have no regrets, the 130 million cash I've had just sitting in my bank for months doesn't do me much good, I grinded all those hours so I could just buy all the sh*t when it comes out whether I enjoy it or not. Unless things change soon, I'm never gonna make back the 10M I sunk into the sub and all the stuff because there's no way I'm doing this heist successfully 10 times, I don't have the patience or the motivation. On the bright side of things... since I've never completed the heist, it could have been a nightmare, but Rockstar has generously allowed all the prep work to remain intact even if you fail the actual heist over and over again. So I don't have to re-do all that crap until I actually do finish the heist and get the reward... and just the thought of re-doing all the intel and prep work makes me think this DLC is gonna be a "one and done" for me. LOL P.S. Oh and after you fail the mission by dying two times, after the cut scene there's a "quick restart" available which takes you right back to the point where you enter the compound so you can try it again with full stealth... another nice touch by Rockstar to help balance the grind for those of us who suck at guns. Before you go thru that BS just go ahead and do what Airwolf said to do. Make sure to load into single player first, then join online however. When you make it back to Cayo P. LOL If you get detected, just surrender (die twice and restart). The heist is a lot more enjoyable if you stay undetected. Also, you don't have to kill all the guards, you can avoid most of them. Sneak around slowly, watch their movements, and avoid them as much as you can. Eventually you'll be able to get to the target undetected, with the least amount of kills (I only need to kill the personal guards with the red dots and vision cones around the office, I can avoid the jugegernaut) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SBazzle12 Posted December 25, 2020 Author Share Posted December 25, 2020 Guys, just in addition to all the above, from the latest update and mission, I haven’t been able to go to ‘Join Session’ ingame and have to join a game from the main PS menu. It comes up disabled which it never has done before. (Says it’s due to player not completing the initial setup for online play) but I’ve completed in full and so has other player and we’ve been playing together for like a year almost with no issues. If not, you probably have to do it because it is part of the heist storyline that every player need to go through the first time they do the heist. You have to go to the radio tower to hack the system to get into the cctv cameras. Got back to Los Santos, got the call from Pavel! Back to my sub and the screen has now updated. I thought that was the issue and he kept telling me that made no sense, he has now apologised lol. thank you all for your suggestions and help!
