Seasons and season pass

Some basic questions about the seasons and season pass:

 

• How long is a season?  3 months?
• When did the current season start and when does it end?
• Has the season pass always been 40 gold, or does it change over time?

1. Depends on Rockstar's part. There is nothing regular nor consistent with the timing.

 

2. Started a few weeks back. Lasts until March.

 

3. It changes. The last pass cost 55 gold total, and you only got 40 back.

Yeah, its not really a "season" pass.

 

It is just the new Outlaw Pass thing, whenever they feel like stringing us along.. 

 

Someone says that in data mining the next one, it even gives you fewer of the gold bars

you spent on it back (or was it none at all?) So they seem to be really overdoing it, trying

to get people to spend real money on gold.

That seems kind of counter productive.  They seem to be taking action after action to make their customer base go away.

 

- They stopped customer support.  You can no longer open a support ticket.  Seriously, what kind of idiot would spend any more cash on a company that takes your money but ignores you if you have a problem?

 

- They made the daily streak reset after 28 days.   That is going to promote players to take a break after reset, and they might get involved in something else and not return.

 

- They nerfed gold income, making things harder for players trying to get even essential things like roles.

 

- Now nerfing the returns of the outlaw pass? 

 

Seems silly and economically suicidal.

R* T2 is slowly choking RDO to a state that nobody plays it, and then they can turn off the servers due to low server poulation, and focus on their prime baby: GTAO...

 

RDO isn't the "cash cow" R*/T2 was hoping for...
 

And that is sad, since the game idea/concept is very different comparing to other MMORPGs

well, R* knows what the players want. cowboys have stashed hundreds, thousands of bars, yet R* fails to produce something to spend it on. properties, for example

Do you mean the Halloween pass because the season before was 40 gold and you got it all back thru the pass.

I just bought the current season pass for 40 today.  I was already at level 100 and got only 30 back (3 at a pop from the Rewards list).  They seem to have changed it so that even if it is on sale or whatever... you don't get all of your gold back.

I mean that Outlaw Pass 3 cost you 40 gold (which you get back) for the first 80 ranks, then you had to buy the last 20 ranks for 15 gold (you did not get back) in the guise of a Halloween Pass.
