Question about gta 5 on ps4.

Basically my psplus ran out today and I still for some reason can play online without psplus. Did rockstar make gta 5 online playable without psplus if i try playing any other online game I'm forced to get psplus but not gta online.

I heard about this and searched for it. They said it’s because you’re subscribed to something else, which makes you able to go Online without PS+.
