zPhoenix
I was roaming doing my things and got my first bounty "on the road". But I think I got no gold for it. Felt cheated. Did I miss noticing it, or is that how it works? If so, what's the point of even doing them, as most of the time they send us way out of our way from whatever we were doing? netnow66

A couple of things here--I believe you are right, they give no gold but I believe some of the XP counts toward the 10000XP turn in award. I actually had a friend run up a $25 bounty (that rooftop in Saint Denis still works) and when he arrived in Blackwater where I was, I got an invite saying that a bounty was in town. I turned him in, hoping for some bounty gold but, nope, there was none. And, I could be wrong, but I don't believe there is a limit on the number of 10000XP bounty turn ins we can do. Some of the turn ins are limited to 10 (there is a little roman numeral counter on the turn in screen) but I don't believe the 10000XP bounty turn in has one--so it may be unlimited. DentureDynamite
I thought players had been getting $1 (no gold) for those, but R* corrected it, and you should now be getting $10..? netnow66 and GrungeNinja
IamCourtney
They can be used for bounty dailies, count toward bounty award progress. But yeah, the payouts are sh*te netnow66
kcole4001
They are a little bit of extra BH experience (160 role XP), and usually pretty quick. Like the other random missions, if you don't want to do 'em just keep riding by. Often I have a deer or something I'm not going to dump just for the little benefit you get, so I just keep going by, or I don't want them to mess up trying to get 10/9 role dailies done. No Homing
Easy BH dailies and a chance to loot a treasure map. Good enough for me. kcole4001 and GrungeNinja
Krommer
I always get the guy being chased by the super fast gator, along the shore by St. Denis. The first time, the gator killed me because I was onlyh focused on the bounty. It basically seems like one of the ones that is the pal of the legendary gators (fast and tough.) I've had that one 3 times now, without trying (just when a daily involves that area.) The payout is so low on them that "double" would not be a big deal, even if it does So far as I can tell, the 0/10,000 xp bounty is unlimited for "turning in" for .5 gold and $100; at least I've done it 3 times and am in the middle of the 4th, I guess we'll know at 11? The new 0/9 role dailies, which is also not for a buckle, doesn't sound like it has a limit of turn-ins either? I believe only the "buckle" ones have a limited "reset" for .4 gold (nugget), which is limited to a reset of ten times. I've been playing since the online beta, but only found out about turning those in for gold the other day... SAD. Of course, it is limited to 10 times so no big deal really; I'm already on my 3rd or 4th turn in for .4 gold of "selling herbs to the doctor" (every time I check my camp box, Rockstar is sending me more herbs for "whatever." ) Edited December 24, 2020 by Krommer kcole4001 and netnow66

Thirteen threads started by you on the first page. Inquisitive little guy. Why does it rain? A:Within a cloud, water droplets condense onto one another, causing the droplets to grow. When these water droplets get too heavy to stay suspended in the cloud, they fall to Earth as rain. ... Water vapor turns into clouds when it cools and condenses—that is, turns back into liquid water or ice. Where do babies come from? A:How are babies made? A seed from the daddy and an egg from the mommy join together in the mom's tummy. That's where the baby grows – in a special sack there, called the womb. Why does it snow? A:Snow forms when the atmospheric temperature is at or below freezing (0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit) and there is a minimum amount of moisture in the air. If the ground temperature is at or below freezing, the snow will reach the ground. ... While it can be too warm to snow, it cannot be too cold to snow. Why is the sky blue? A:Thus, as sunlight of all colors passes through air, the blue part causes charged particles to oscillate faster than does the red part. ... More of the sunlight entering the atmosphere is blue than violet, however, and our eyes are somewhat more sensitive to blue light than to violet light, so the sky appears blue. How much salt is in the ocean? A:The concentration of salt in seawater (its salinity) is about 35 parts per thousand; in other words, about 3.5% of the weight of seawater comes from the dissolved salts. In a cubic mile of seawater, the weight of the salt (as sodium chloride) would be about 120 million tons.

While I do like to understand the games I play and both the in-game info and Google fall way short with RDO, I am afraid that this is much more of a sign that the forums (and maybe the game) are quite dead in spite of the game being very good in many ways (yes, buggy as hell too, and R* seems determined to kill it with its changes, but still good). There are maybe half a dozen active forumers, a dozen at most. If you look at the various threads, it is always the same people chatting among ourselves, and I am possibly the only active forumer that is fairly new to RDO. kcole4001
There is very little searchable specific game related info generally available. For example control layouts, mission specific details/glitches, game mechanic related info, etc. It is possible to stumble upon an answer using a general search, but the time required is extensive, so this forum remains the best place for gaining specific game knowledge. Greedstar is terrible at providing explanations or comprehensive control listings, so players are left to their own devices to sort it all out, so that's what this place is about. I was there myself just over a year ago, and there are still things to learn here and there, maybe a pinned general Q&A thread might work, the help & support thread is not usually very active at all. Posting it in the general discussion/speculation thread often gets it lost among the speculations/future content posts. Other than that, asking direct questions via a new thread is the most effective way to find an answer. I'm glad to help and share anything I have found out here, from youtubers, and various other sources. zPhoenix, netnow66 and IamCourtney
