Bounties not working

I go to the bounty board and select one, then nothing happens after that. I try to go back to the bounty board and make sure I selected one but the R on screen is greyed out and when I try to hold the R key to access the board it doesn't go to the board. I waited 10 minutes for the bounty to pop up on the screen but nothing happened?
