Andreas915
I truly think, that they figured it would not be worth it to recreate the old sites in the new standard regardless of the archival value of these pages. Remaster or no, people really only follow social media nowadays, so that is most likely their reasoning. I, for one, am very grateful that these sites remain accessible for nostalgia's sake, but I am also sad that it is upon the community to keep them going. Funny to think that the kentpaul.com website was once a nostalgia zone and now we are talking about actual 20 year old webpages. It would make sense if they did. That would be really cool but I doubt it considering they also removed all other Flash sites from other franchises too. Honestly they know they don't need cool promo sites anymore since GTA is so well known so there is no effort, GTA V site is so uninspiring. videotech_ and H-G
Fedinambar
The guys at Rockstarnexus are working on recreating all OG flash websites. They have a sneak peek of most of them. https://museum.rockstarnexus.com/ H-G, victm92, Igor Bogdanoff and 2 others 4
Lock n' Stock
Re-visiting these websites really makes me nostalgic for the time when Rockstar weren't total sh*t. Igor Bogdanoff, NightmanCometh96, H-G and 2 others 3

zanesix
Not totally related but related enough, the original rockstargames.com/V website is gone and replaced with a much lamer one after the E&E launch. I'm guessing nobody even thought to back that one up since it didn't even use flash? https://www.rockstargames.com/gta-v Ivan1997GTA, H-G and Lock n' Stock

That's Nu-Rockstar for you, basically purging any semblance of soul they once had. NightmanCometh96, H-G, Ivan1997GTA and 1 other

I kinda remember the content but not well enough to fully recreate it. If someone finds a working version of the old site, or screenshots of every section I'd love to recreate it as it was originally, it had some interesting things. Same here. The only remnants I've found of it is stuff like this. Basically modelled after some tour guide website, like an interactive version of the instruction manuals. Absolutely nothing wrong with it whatever, yet you scrap it completely and replace it with some soulless f*cking garbage for absolutely no reason? Seriously, F*CK you guys. Meyus
Thank you and RockstarNexus for keeping these websites alive. It's actually sad. They could have done what you did, but they didn't want to do. Looks like they don't care about their old games anymore. They even updated the GTA V website with a new trash design, I think specially for GTA Online. (Old GTA V website was also full of fun single-player contents.) Unfortunately, even the Internet Archive doesn't work because of the age check on Rockstar websites, it's not possible to pass the age check on the Internet Archive. Does anyone know any solution for this? Do you guys think would they consider us if we send emails to Rockstar? I don't think so, but still.
