_Rob_ 85
In the mission 'Salvatore's Called A Meeting', Sal says Quote "TONI! How's your Momma? She's a great woman you know. Strong. Firenze." The word Firenze would usually just be the English name for the Italian city of Florence. So it seems like an odd word for Sal to use as a presumably complimentary term for Toni's Ma, which leaves me wondering if it's perhaps it's a specifically Sicilian dialect thing? I can't seem to find anything online that would allude to this being the case, but as Frank Vincent (Sal's voice actor) is himself Italian American with Siclian roots, it would be a weird thing for him to have gotten "wrong". So I'm wondering if anybody here could shed some light, any ideas?

So I'm wondering if anybody here could shed some light, any ideas? Hey there. That's a good question. Luckily, I was analyzing cut-scenes in the game and I know what may be the meaning of firenze in that case. The use of the word firenze in relation to Ma Cipriani emphasizes that she possesses predominantly male characteristics, which is associated with her explosive nature and lack of maternal concern (constant criticism). She is pretty much always angry with her son and not happy about him. And yeah being firenze can mean someone, who has typical male characteristics, being very dominant. Merry Christmas! _Rob_ 85
Interesting; do you know this for sure, or is it an educated guess?

You can't know that for sure, only game developers knows, what they really meant. This is by far the best meaning as firenze can refer to Florence, or what I said above, I didn't find any other meaning of firenze as noun (Florence) or adjective (being very dominant).
