You seem to really like music, eh?:kekw:

Yeah, gotta admit. They've been my main point of interest in the series since I played.

I used to push wrecks into garages, thinking I could get a fresh car out of them.

When I first used the Internet in IV, one of the first few sites I went on was Fly High Pizza Pie. I must have spent two hours trying to order a pizza for Niko. I also had no idea that everything there was laced with weed.

Oh wow I used to think this too. Was disappointed at the lack of cannabis pizza.

I always assumed the reason Claude never spoke in GTA III was because of when Catalina shot him right at the start one of the bullets must’ve hit him in the throat.

I remember this theory being popular in 2007-08

Would make a lot of sense if he wasn't already mute and referred to as such in San Andreas

I don't think anyone would have a bullet in his throat and walk the next day like if nothing happened

I mean, we can't really see where exactly Claude got shot, but it very much looks like he gets shot in the head from the way Catalina holds her guns.

Given that Claude suffers literally no setbacks from it, he must've been shot somewhere that couldn't have damaged him much. Just enough to temporarily immobilize him.

Keep in mind we're talking about games where you can be shot to death, take the brunt of explosions etc and all you have to do is go to the hospital for 6 hours and you're all good.

This was something I used to think of before San Andreas confirmed it as such. Like 2002/2003 when I first started playing GTA III. Looking back in hindsight I guess it's not the craziest assumption, but yeah the real world logic is at odds lol. I mean I was only like 16 when this popped into my mind.:p

You could find bigfoot in All GTA games

Do people still believe in this Bigfoot stuff after what felt like a long time? I never believed in any weird myths when I was playing GTA, maybe because I started to play the series nowadays.

Ralph Tresevant - Senstivity...

What he said...

"Don't even waste your tears on an insensitive man..."

What I heard...

"Don't even brush your teeth on an insensitive man..."

I used to think Max Payne was Claude from GTA III.

If I wanted to search a GTA song but don't know the title, a choice I had is to write part of the lyrics. Most of time I end up with things I didn't look for, and I occasionally tend to get the lyrics wrong due to suffering from mondegreen syndrome, unintentional hilarity usually ensues. Case in point, my previous post above.

This is me with any track I find from places, I never know the name.

God forbid you hear it as a young child and you can't remember anything except the hook

I used to think that houses that were called "Safehouse" meant the cops couldn't come in, but ones that weren't called Safehouse meant the cops could enter

From GTA SA

  • When I was 8 years old and was beginning to play SA on PS2 along with my older cousin, I managed to get the purple dildo from the showers of LS Police Station. Not knowing about anything of that stuff, i assumed that it was a giant purple cell phone (because I saw one bootleg cell phone toy that another cousin owned and coincidentally was also purple).
  • I thought that Young Turks by Rod Stewart was sung by a woman (he really kept those notes high, didn't he?)
  • Because my grasp of english was low at the time, I thought that saving the game would literally take 6 hours. Not 6 in-game hours, but 6 real life hours. The fact that I didn't owned a memory card to save my game helped to keep that idea, only to discover that I bamboozled myself after playing the PC version.
  • Speaking of that, when I first played the PC version, on a rubbish computer with possibly 2002 specs running the game at 5 FPS, I was very convinced that the only way to enter cheats was pushing all the keys of the cheat at the same time, being confused as why there were cheats that repeated the same letters. It was crazy because beforehand I managed to enter cheats on the PS2 version, I can't tell you how I could came up with that warped idea!

From GTA IV and V

  • That weird pageant site from GTA IV? I didn't even had the game until recently, but I was horribly scared of even going to it's GTA Wiki description page because I thought the police would literally come to my place!
  • When the news came up that GTA V was going to be set in Los Santos, I was very skeptical, saying that the map would be very small because it would be only the size of the island where LS is located in GTA SA, not even recalling that HD Liberty City is bigger than it's 3D counterpart.
  • Who didn't thought that CJ was going to be the protagonist of V after watching the shot of Frankling running in the trailer?

Now for some experiences that my middle school friends had. At this point I was a little more experienced with the nature of the game, but others didn't because they were exposed to GTA a bit later than me.

  • A friend of mine said that I could play GTA SA throught Facebook. He gave me a link and what a surprise!, the damned thing didn't work. I felt sorry for him.
  • Some friends told me that they downloaded GTA Mexico. There are many of them, that are no less than a modpack including drug lords, narcos, security forces from our country and the candidates from the 2012 presidential elections as regular peds (what?). Anyway, they said that they were looking for their own houses, the school or other landmarks from our city. Again, I felt sorry for them, although, the idea for a GTA SA mod based in Mexico is lowkey a project I would love to make.
  • There's only one official Spanish version of the game, localized for Spain that we Latin Americans got, and the fact that it was very regionalized caused a large amount of confusion. The funniest one being that, since "tio" in Spain, besides from "uncle" (which is the only meaning for the word here in LATAM), also means "dude", "friend" or "homie", some of my friends thought that some of the characters of the game (Big Smoke is a perfect example), were literally CJ's uncles. I experienced this when I was an avid watcher of Loquendo videos made from Spain (Loquendo being a famous text-to-speech program widely used in YT videos) in 2010.

And something I forgot to mention, instrumental songs are guaranteed to be a huge burning in the ass to find without knowing the title especially since these kind of songs has no words to use as searching.

I used to think 2 Minutes to Midnight in Vice City was apparently spoofing 50-60's monster movies or something, as in I thought he said "tall menace" instead of "2 minutes".

In a perfect world we would get well made total conversions based on our own countries. At least we got some pretty good laughs with the wacky stuff that happens on those bootlegs/modpacks

GTA Finland must've easily been the most discussed individual mod out there when I was new to all the forum business. I think it was perpetually unfinished, though.

Gotta wonder if there would still be an audience for it nowadays. :panic:

Every single kid in Egypt owned these especially the ones for VC which were most of the time modded cars , Infinite everything and god mod

Actually Isn't that supposed to be illegal?

I'm from Poland. We are in European Union (yet xd), so copyright laws here are not something foregin

One time I went to EMPIK - legit, bit chain store in Poland. I saw "GTA Trylogia" (GTA Trilogy) - GTA1, GTA2 and GTA 3.

I'm big fan of GTA2 so I bought this trilogy (it was very cheap - like 20zł ( less than 5 euro).

After instaling this GTA2 on my computer I was very suprised to see some modded cars like vans with Coca-Cola logo on top and stuff like this by default.

By this days I don't know if i have bought some wrong burned copy or what :D

paperbagdude

When I glitched through the floor of the gym in Ganton (GTA SA) and into the void, I genuinely thought it was the underworld and all the pedestrians walking around were the souls of my victims, still trapped in a limbo.

It made me feel kind of sad, but as I grew a little older (like 11), I came to the conclusion that I was just bug in the game and that there was no actual reason for them to be down there.
