I have to admit a zombie Klebitz simulator with half of his skull missing would be cool.

GTA Undead Nightmare featuring Trevor killing Zombie Johnny K again.

I thought that the protagonist from III and VC are the same person and after the events of III he traveled to Vice City. I was 12 years old and my english wasn't great.

Technically not GTA-related, I used to think Carcer City was called Carcass City. And I gotta say, it's pretty much a fitting nickname, given the nature of the place in Manhunt.

That epsilon program was real cult, because I found R* website wild free and I was shocked. Almost quit playing GTA: San Andreas.

You remind me of how many times I quit the game just because I got stuck in the woods without a vehicle. I don't know what I was scared of. Leatherfacs? Bigfoot? Something like that.

Taking a page out of Niobium’s “GTA V isn’t canon” playbook Trevor’s fried corpse reenacting the Johnny head stomping with both of them as zombies would be cool.

I remember using to think you could go to N on a modded gta sa ps2 disc... classic but the thing is, im pretty sure me and my sister sat there two hours just driving a boat to n and not realising that you cant go to it, I remember it very vividly, this is why the Tropic has such a nostalgic appeal to me

I swam the whole map to reach N

Because I thought that there's no return and I didn't know any boat cheats

I used to think that Drive-By mission was a bug and it's impossible to finish the mission because after blasting Ballas at Glen Park there's no yellow square on the map for me to go and also I didn't understand English that well. And then after so many years, in 2012 I finally play the game on PC and I have understand quite a few words in English. I finally realise all I had to do was to lose the wanted level by getting inside pay n spray. 🙃

Reminds me of when I did Love Juice in VC as a 6-year old and couldn't figure out why the pink blip wouldn't trigger. Thankfully my sister was there to tell me what the closed captions were saying.

Some things regards ingame ads.

I wanted to find Shady Acress in Vice city to see petting zoo.

In San Andreas I wanted to find Glory Hole theme park. That thing driving me nuts. I believed when I found entrance I get theme park minigames.

I found huge building in desert near my airport, I was convinced that was Glory Hole and that they forget to put entrance so that why parking is empty .

Afterwhile I found true meaning of Glory Hole, oh boy.

I was told by a friend that in VC there are hidden cars at Sunshine Autos you can't get normally, I would go and they weren't there. He said "you have to keep coming back, but they do eventually spawn."

He forgot to mention that I had to actually complete the vehicle lists in order to unlock the Deluxo, Sabre Turbo, Sandking and Hotring Racer. 🙈

Back in the year 2000. I played GTA 2, i was 10 years old (yeah it's young but i had a older brother). I didn't knew mods exist. In some gaming magazine there was a page about modding with a picture from GTA 2. A fighter jet on the streets in DOWNTOWN. Technical the sprite was changed from a car to a jet and just behaves like a car (it didn't fly). But as a kid i didn't understood "Modding" and i searched the whole game to find this jet in all three areas. I searched hours for hours. I really through there was a flying jet in GTA 2 as a secret^^

I’ve actually already said this in another thread over a year ago but I used to think Vlad Glebov was Roman’s boss at the cab depot.

I legitimately thought he was Niko and Roman's uncle because of the mission title "Uncle Vlad"...

I remember now in the "A home in the hills" cutscene when Carl was talking about how the Casino management is harder than what he thought  and then met Madd Dogg and left with I thought that he quitted working in the casino because of how hard it's and being Madd Dogg is much easier and that made me really sad

Another thing

I used to think that big smoke gets out from the fridge in the "you picked the wrong house fool" cutscene

-When Lance first meets Tommy and says “my dead brother’s white lady” I literally thought that’s what he was looking for. A white lady. I had no idea it was street talk for cocaine.

-I always assumed when doing vigilante missions I was just being a cop and couldn’t figure out why I was still getting a wanted level.

-Tommy’s “Harwood butcher” moniker confused me and it must’ve went over my head because I thought he was an actual butcher.

That is valid after the fact of VCS, but I was thinking this back in 2002. I used to think “who’s this white lady?”😛

Yeah regular GTA:SA rumour or myth...

There is secret island, fly over xx minutes to get there.

Guess what, we kids in class all flew...

There is something magical about that, that you can fly endlessly in GTA:SA.

- In GTA 3, I thought 8-Ball was a P2 Character, Unlockable Character or Play as him in some part of the game, also I thought you can unlock some storyline characters to play as him.

- In Vice City, I was sure theres a method to keep Lance Vance on your side in the Final Mission... New game time wasted. 😭

- In San Andreas, I was thinking Kiling Big Smoke or Ryder before the betray would change the Storyline

I used to hate how III's Belleville Park toilets are marked with an "R" on the map and not a "T". It took me years to realize "R" means Ray.:kekw:

When I first completed One Last Thing, I saw Roman's text about how if Niko did the deal with Dimitri, they would take a private jet to Vice City. So I ended up going with Deal because I thought I would be able to visit VC after the story and live happily ever after.

Not outright weird, but I used to be real disappointed with some of SA's missions that appeared to be just lame rip-offs of VC missions that had the same premise. Sweet's Girl being like Death Row but with none of the heat, Small Town Bank having nothing on The Job, and The Da Nang Thang starting out as an alright Phnom Penh '86 spiritual successor only to immediately turn into a more generic stealth/shooting mission, which, mind you, we already had on another ship 1 mission prior.

Took me a while to understand that the game wasn't exactly meant to just be another VC with new characters and a different style, and that The Job did in fact have its equivalent in the game with the casino heist, it's just that I didn't get to access that for a long time 'cause I didn't understand I had to keep dating Millie for the key card.

The arena challenges were demonstrably inferior though, that opinion still sticks with me. Well, maybe the Dirt Ring equivalent was an improvement, but 8-Track always lacked Hotring's charm from the get-go, and Blood Bowl was just plain unfair.
