I been playing gtao since 2013 and i was really looking forward to cayo perico but it was very underwhelming. A drug island but no themed vehicles, character customization or weapons? Not only that but all heists are basically the same. I dont think they should work on anymore heist but instead give us something new to do in freemode other than grind business. Something new that will expand the gtao world.

Heists are the main way how like 80% of the legit player-base make most of their money, if you dont like them thats a-ok, but theres no need for this "they shouldn't add more heists" attitude? and its quite sad how with every new heist released we also get a few topics like this added here, at the very least can you people start making a general purpose "heists offend me" thread?

Anyhow saying they should stop making heists is just rude to everybody that enjoys them (again, a massive portion of the player-base) & besides that im pretty sure R* laughs in your face when they read this sort of 'feedback', the heists (and 'required planning area' we have to buy / that lately are all pretty cool in their own right) are what make people constantly return to the game & required planning area's & failed heists are likely some of the main sources of shark card sales, you can b*tch all you want, but nothing is going to change any time soon.

To be blunt about it, if you dont like them just ignore them? simple.

Tbh I quit right before casino and played this heist with the god awful sheath mode(got to justify it's in the game right R*)

I thought they were going to fix it but nope, 3/5 update.

Tbh that reads as "im unaware of the fact that stealth gameplay got fleshed out a bit with casino dlc, so f*ck everybody involved and heists suck", thats nice and all but (besides the stuff i typed above for topic starter that applies to you too, if you dont like heists thats your loss, but just ignore them?) surely you are aware that there are specific topics for venting your frustrations: https://gtaforums.com/topic/915863-the-official-btch-moan-thread-part-3/

Stealth is still the same clunky mechanic from 6 years ago with the clunky gun mechanics, I see no improvement  and also I'm surprised that thread still existed because it's just " hey I dont like your comment here is a useless thread to put it in".

But isn't the stealth on Cayo Perico the same as the original heists, not the casino heist? The obvious distinction for me is that you could run while in stealth during the latter.

Even though I like all heists, the stealth in GTA definitely takes some getting used to. That being said, if you're smart or well prepared, you can complete the Cayo Perico heist solo while detected. You can even request a minigun that comes with 9999 rounds.

I am happy they are adding more heists overall. Back years ago we had a heist drought and they just kept adding one freeroam business DLC aftere another. Many PvE oriented players disliked them because of how the game puts a target on your back for anything you do related to a buisness. We went for years with just having the original set of heists before they finally added doomsday.

Honestly what else is there to add to Online? The game is basically Saints Row at this point.

Instead of an underwhelming heist every 6 months, I'd like more options for literally everything in the game. Better clothes, custom boats, choppers, cars. More wheels, more tires, diverse brakes, revisiting old content, custom missions, etc etc

To be honest, it was only a matter of time before the heists became repetitive. You've got to understand that underneath all that content, the base game is still the same. Rockstar has some creative liberty, but just up to a certain point. The first ever heists were so exciting because it was something we had never done before, if they released today they would have nowhere near the same impact that they had in 2015. Breaking into the Humane Labs is fun until you do it 100 other times. It's clear that the new location is just another way for them to spice things up since the mechanics are pretty much the same, it's just the details that change (instead of the keycards you get bolt cutters now, but conceptually it's the same thing).

Generally speaking, I think Heists in GTA Online have had a proper evolution, and we've reached a point where the concept has pretty much reached saturation and we can't go much further than this without a brand-new game with new mechanics.

For all the "creative liberty" they had quite frankly it's a piss poor cookie cutter excuse for a heist and in my eyes Rockstar could've done so much more with it - even if the base game/mechanics are still the same, there's no reason they couldn't have at least somewhat changed or rehashed the setups but once again something something scope it out, something something acquire vehicles, throw Merryweather and Duggan shipments in there because we obviously haven't had enough of those, but y'know why put the effort into producing good content when you can just throw the exact same criteria as the last heist into in a new area you can't even freeroam.

I know it wouldn't really fit in with most of our characters development 'arc' or whatever but... I'd really love to be able to plan and carry out robberies on banks and gun stores, vehicle dealerships, smash and grabs on jewellery stores. Maybe knock over some crack dens and whore houses. Of course it all seems like chicken feed after robbing a casino and a drug lord... But it could be fun. Almost a cross between a contact mission and a heist? I don't know how it would work though, that's not my job.

Honestly, some back to basics- petty criminal stuff would be fun.

Cayo Perico is hands down my most favourite heist.  Being able to play it solo is the best thing for me.  And I love doing the 3 disruption prep missions, knowing that I'm going to cripple the island's defences.  Plus, poisoning the water supply is always fun.  I can then take on the whole island, confident in the knowledge I'm going to survive and escape without dying.

My main issue with Rockstar is how they add new stuff for us to buy but then put limitations on them. We have 7 heists and yet we can't use most of the vehicles that we spent money on, the Casino heists doesn't even let us use the weapons we have spent money on. Vehicles like the Avenger can't be used except in Freeroam. Rockstar adds more vehicles but limits the activities those vehicles can be used in. Rockstar adds features but doesn't change previous features, thus we have layer upon layer of outdated or redundant features. Bad Sport Points are no longer important given the push towards freeroam PvP. The criminal organization CEO Office could have been the center of everything but Rockstar decided to make each criminal business it's own thing but then added the Master Control upgrade to the Arcade...why? Shouldn't that have been a CEO office upgrade? I said it before and I'll say it again, the heists should be the crown jewel of online co-op and should make the player feel justified for all the money spent on vehicles and weapons, instead they just feel like a contact mission playlist with annoying dialogue and lackluster payout.

I knew heists would be BS when the takes were so low. To keep the other bullsh*t missions and activities relevant I guess. I mean who really goes on these big ass heists for just a damn 1-2 million dollar take? Especially with an "economy" where cars cost more than that? It's trash really. I always liked the heist updates for what content they brought, but the heists themselves are hilarious. They try to make it all serious too when unless you have friends youll be playing with a bunch of dorito crumb covered kids who blast garbage trap into their mics and dip right before you finish a setup. :kekw:

I am making 1.4 million in a little over an hour soloing new heist.  No Dorito crumbs.

honestly I think the whole Cayo Perico heist has a good design where you essentially can pick many options to approach.

however, since it still follows the same format as the other major heists, the leadup to the heist itself is fairly boring.

Heists and contact missions are all generally the same thing. Personally, I think most of you are just burned out on the game. To do anything "new" they would need new gameplay mechanics. For example, a new melee system might make for some engaging new combat missions, but without a new system it's just more of the same.

There's no way to make driving feel fresh and new, theres no way to make shooting someone in gta feel new. New vehicles and new locations is kind of all they have. I'm not really sure what everyone here is looking for from an update, beyond new missions and new vehicles.

This 1000%!!!  Mele combat is easily the biggest missed opportunity in this game.  Interested to see if anyone can name a bigger one.  They dropped a dancing DLC then come back in a later DLC and add more moves to it ALONG with the ability to dance with a partner but wont do anything to the mele combat.  I mean they really think more people want to dance than fight?  smh  Updated mele would breath new life into the game.  Fight club meets like car meets anyone?  Adversary modes envolving mele,  new missions that require mele kills or just an overall new way to kill enemies?  Makes no sense why this aspect of the game is ignored.

I thinks it's difficult to integrate a sophisticated melee system into a game that is largely based on guns. You can beat people from your bike, but how many people actually use it?

What I really liked are the Lamar Missions, contact missions with some cutscenes that tell a short story.

Well nobody is asking for or expecting a sophisticated mele system.  Just an improved version of the one we already have.  But to your point,  as of now there is no good entertainment or replay value in the mele thats why its rarely used.  If the system was better and recieved DLC treatment like other things more people would use it.

GTA San Andreas had a "light attack" and "heavy attack" melee system, with 3 different fighting styles unlocked via learning gym moves.

It's easily doable even with the current control setup.

That’s online for you. It’s played out. We’re already rich and have everything.

What we need is a new single player game (VI), start from being nothing and make our way to the top kingpin. Rags to riches.

As for online, we will have to create a new character, with nothing and work to get rich again. It will be set in the 80’s so our current gta o character isn’t even born/old enough.

This.  Esto. x 11,000,000.00.
