Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

How do you guys deal with the helicopters during the heist?

I keep on dying while getting to the airport.
Approach was this btw: minimum setups, sub as start vehicle, plane as exit.

You do the prep to destroy the helicopters and don't deal with them.

If you're not going full stealth you shouldn't be doing minimal setups

If you mean El Rubio's chopper at the very end, I just shot at it a bunch until it f*cked off

It's way too OP

You can do it, but no alarms. At any stage. If you get an alarm, just die. The helis are far too OP. No alarms just gives you El Rubio searching for you on the map, which you just avoid.

A bud and i ran through once, and rubios valkyrie didnt have the gunners and the copilot was using a handgun so we didnt have much issue.

I think this was because with how we approached we found a parked valkyrie with 2 guys smoking

Cigs around the valkyrie and we fasttracked their suicide by lung cancer. We hoped to steal it on our exit but was locked. But we will C4 ourselves on future runs to prevent future issues

The prep mission where you take out the barged buzzards should limit the buzzards.

Destroy the helicopters in prep like a normal person.

As people have said, do the Disruption Prep Work to destroy the Buzzards. It takes less than ten minutes and can be done Solo. Anyone that does not do this is making a rod for their own back and gets no sympathy from me. It should be mandatory for all runs even if its Silent In and Out.

When you exit the Compound look around and you will find El Rubios Savage, if you bring the Loadout with Sticky Bombs you can throw them on the Savage before it takes off and just blow them when it arrives to remove the Savage.

As many have said, destroy helis in Disruption prep.

BUT REMEMBER! When doing so, do not remain still after taking out your first buzzard. The enemy copters that spawn have VERY good accuracy and will wreck you and spawncamp your ass for 10 minutes. Get a Hydra or something and stay on the move.

Or just Fast Travel yor sub and take them all out in 4 cruise missiles ;)

 Why?

Because it takes less than ten minutes and on the chance you fail and get alarmed, most people if they have collected all their loot and equipment like disguises and bolt cutters may not want to start again.

Where would you say is the optimum place for your Sub to Cruise Missile the targets in the Disruption missions?

They can fly, you cannot

So destroy them on the ground

It's all the same mission

But if you are always solo, it's your game.T

At 2k a pop, wherever you can fast travel nearby. Consider it pay to slightly skip, I guess. The fast travel map even helpfully includes the targets.

Certainly it's faster to surface nearby than to discover your target is 4001m away.
