I'm also having this issue, my friend and I were forced to quit out of the online because the heist prep mission with the safe code was completely bugged, nobody was in the penthouse except one hooker and a guard and we couldn't leave the room, but yeah after that we couldn't rejoin or invite each other

Yeah had this yesterday, my mates on PS5 and me on PS4 so i wondered if it was something to do with that. I could join him only through party and then looking at profile - game.

Maybe you have to go to the VIP Lounge in the new nightclub and meet the new people to tell you about the new thing before you can play?
