So I ended up with a nice setup. Pink diamond. Key for the gun drawer. Some nice secondary takes. Pretty good run..... Except for the part where the game froze right as my character was meeting with one of madrazos guys.

Not really a Bitch and Moan, but attached to my previous complaining about the technical failures of this game. I opened a ticket to Rockstar support about the following 

 

No yellow corona appearing at LSIA or appearing but not functioning for the English Dave chakra stones job.

No yellow corona appearing for the deliver the Rogue heist prep mission

No entry possible to Kosatka submarine following collection of the sonar jammer to complete the Kosatka entry vehicle heist prep

Island recon Velum flight often doesn't work when you reach the yellow dot south of the docks

We understand that you are concerned about being unable to complete prep missions that involve returning to the Submarine with an item and being unable to unlock the BF Weevil. These are issues that we are currently investigating as we have received similar reports. While we may not have any additional information to share with you at this time, we hope that an update will become available in the near future to address issues fo this nature.

With regard to the new heist prep missions, performing them within an Invite Only session has helped in some cases. Please let us know if this possible workaround helps in your case.

Except you need public sessions for business sales, so this won't work for everything.

And you don't get business battles in Invite-Only unless there are at least 2 friends present (or more, not sure)

Last week, I went to sell my bunker, so clicked Find New Session. I got into one of my friends' solo public session, I split into my own solo public session, and I STILL got the corona glitch.

Found new session, sold my nightclub succesfully, tried selling my bunker in same session, corona glitch AGAIN. I went to the Creator, continued my Cayo Perico prepping in Invite-Only, and I'll just wait for my bunker to get raided. Hopefully I'll get the raid with the valkyrie, as I find stealth missions very interesting, and I don't mind losing half of my stock.

 

I guess no one in here can tell me how to get a specific bunker raid mission in case I get another one? Should I find new session to cancel the raid and then hope the next raid will be another mission?

I still haven't completed the heist successfully, and since I haven't even tried to over the past 3 or 4 days, I think I'll never complete it.  Not that I really care very much.  I literally have zero urge to keep trying.  I saw the whole Island and I see what the heist is all about.  I'm satisfied.

 

See you next update, GTA V is one of the most amazing games I've ever witnessed, there is no doubt... but at this point its just boring, and my backlog of Epic free games continues to grow and grow.  Most of them suck, but some of them are clearly decent enough to hold my interest better than GTA V for a while anyways.

Just go ahead of the heli to destroy the soldiers before it arrives. I've found it more time saving then switching sessions or whatever.

 

Edit: anyone else today having preps deleted? I'm fuming here.

Well, yeah - the heli sees you as a threat, so hide somewhere close enough not to shoot you and once it lands you go there. It will most likely blow itself UP while trying to shoot you, but you must be fine. Just watch for the Pavel cue and the two pilots target marks on the map. Don't rush shooting it, cause this will fail the mission. Also, the heli flies in a straight line, so basically fly in a straight line in front of it yourself, to get to the location faster.

After clearing out the Avenger site, it'll usually still take a minute or so before the Valkyrie arrives. In that time you can call an explosion-resistant vehicle.

 

Or if you're in an air vehicle just stay above the Valkyrie. Its explosive cannon can't fire up. But with the armored ground vehicle you can already wait next to the Avenger.

Love the update overall, but I've just done the Tom Connors mission where you have to bring a van load of champagne back for one of the DJs at the new casino club from Grapeseed. And you can't drive fast or the champagne gets damaged.

 

Yes, that's right, you can't drive fast. Not even if you're accelerating, fast cornering, or crashing. Just about not reaching too high a speed.

 

Not only is it taking the laws of physics and flushing them down the toilet, it's the most criminally boring mission since Michael had to walk 5 miles through the desert (at least with that you could rubber band your controller). And all the way from Grapeseed too. Whoever dreamed up this mission deserves to have a boot firmly planted up their backside.

The worst part of it is too is that there is no kind of live damage meter similar to the "Too close" meters that they give you on 'follow-this-guy' jobs, so you never know when you are approaching the limit of speed or whatever that will cause damage to the champagne.

At least it's just one mission that you have to do only once and then never again. Does it even matter how much the champagne takes damage? I got some casino chips and the t-shirt for it. Does the amount of casino chips earned depend on how much damage the champagne takes? Mine was near full health, I only lost some for speeding, I tried keeping the speed around 40mph looking at the speedometer in first person.

Why does the Velum prep involve stealing a Velum? Why can't I use the Velum that I stole to scope out the island? Why do I need to steal a second one to do the heist?

Yeah I've been doing that. Although it seems the game gets angry and decides to repeat the mission. But hey, that's the annoyance of a 50/50 chance. I think my record is "Go to Merryweather HQ" 5 times in a row now.

 

What makes that mission so ass is that even if you have located the place and you take out all the enemies, if you blow up the helicopter before you're prompted to the Avenger just disappears! Poof! Gone! Even if the Helicopter is an inch away from landing. At the very least it's the most annoying setup and the other ones aren't near as bad.

 

Although it gets annoying when your helmet gets unequipped for no reason during Cutting Torch and all the guards immediately shoot you. God help the actual construction workers if their helmet falls off, I guess. And sometimes the game gets a little finicky by not letting me equip the helmet unless I walk away from it and back after locating it.

Smart. It should be ticked off with only the need to find a pilot I guess. But even then why the hell do I need a pilot! Good way to throw away 10/12 grand because you need to stash your weapons during this playthru

That's the first time it happened. Did what I normally do and both boxes spazzed out. I think because in my clip the second box touching the broken part of the first box made it spazz out as well. The first box glitched up to the roof as soon as it touched the fence. This was on my Fatbox One.

 

@Sentinel Driver I hate when I'm trying to get away from the corona of an oncoming vehicle or guard and I get blocked by a wall bush.

Just saw Ghillie’s video on how they managed to buff the orbital cannon. Holy f*ck. I played GTAO pretty much daily since the PS4 release with 200 days worth of hours logged on it. Since the Cayo Perico Heist released? I’ve played for about three hours total. I can’t bring myself to take pictures or go to car meets or really do anything anymore. It’s too hard to give a sh*t about a game when the people managing it don’t. 
 

I think buffing the second most hated addition to the game is enough for me to stop playing all that much. I’ve been on GTAO for too long so I’ve already decided I have to see it to the end, but I really think I’ll only be stopping by for each DLC to see how much they manage to f*ck up each time. More unbalanced weapons, more glitches that break integral parts of the game, more recycled content—I accepted that this game was a joke years ago. I’m baffled that Rockstar managed to alienate the guy who bought maybe five video games in the last seven years because GTA was enough to occupy me.

Would have been cool if they designed it without the steal prep mission and you just need to pay the $10k to get guns on the island. I'd pay $10k to skip a prep. Or if the prep was something else, like a mission to do a favor for a guard so they smuggle your guns there.

 

Speaking of taking the Velum to the island. We're pretending to be smugglers when we scope the island. Why don't they load our plane up with goods so we get paid for the scope out mission. They could do it as a reward for not getting caught.

Running bitch ass errands for no name lame ass DJs is quite a step down after building a criminal empire for 7 years.  I know for gameplay sake there is no escaping being an errand boy at times, but these little missions seem extra wtf.

I mean technically every time we so a scoping out, we come back on a plane full of drugs. We'd make more money just stealing that. But it makes your brain hurt if you think about GTA too hard.
