So I decided to be nice and try the heist with a couple randoms. I picked the drainage tunnel entrance where all you have to do is swim straight to the glowing yellow marker. One of them instead decided to swim up to the surface and try to swim around the island. While the other actually did follow me for a bit, he decided to leave the tunnel and follow the other guy swimming around the island.

 

This is why these idiots can never make any money, because they can't even do the most basic of stuff. I don't know how people can be so clueless, but I guess it's my fault for trying to be nice and help randoms.

Seriously what logic was Rockstar operating on when writing for Cayo Perico? I just delivered pizza from Los Santos to the Caribbean. Why not just say the island is only a few miles off the coast in international waters? Just saying that instead of the Caribbean would fix so, so many issues.

I just finished it, and was pretty disappointed.
 

Compared to the Doomsday Heist and the Original Heist, it seemed really boring.

 

I get that the devs are probably working from home during all this tho, it might be the cause.

 

If any devs want my feedback, it was really cool in the doomsday heist with the deluxos, the strombergs, the chernobogs and all the setups around those. They felt very creative and new.

 

For Cayo Perico, I just did a bunch of boring heist preps, and then shot a lot during the heist.

What in God's name is WRONG with the Sparrow? Why doesn't it have slight suspension like the Buzzard? IT feels like it's frozen stiff and it's about to break the hell apart every time I land is as carefully as possible!

 

Also, just typical that when you want to be caught by the guards they ignore you and drive away.

I had to fly that pos back from Paleto, I escaped both helicopter's so NO ONE was shooting at me and no enemies on the map and I did not CRASH.

With the heist over and done with I received a phone call from English Dave, anyway I delivered pizzas to the island and switched off. This morning I received another phone call from English Dave telling me to retrieve his Shankra stones from a bunch of Meth heads at the hippy camp. As I was there retrieving the stones, I was killed by some Oppessor MK2 jockey, 

I managed to collect the stones and got myself out of there, then nothing from English Dave to deliver them to the Island, the game glitched out I couldn't enter the Casino or music locker etc.

Just approached with the Velum because I was missing using that as a approach vehicle for the award and 250k for using all the vehicles. You start at the air strip with the ALARM GOING OFF in the cutscene because you have guns and they strip search you. I quit out and tried to uncheck weapons from the planning board. Nope not possible. Just why? Why would you choose that option ever again?

 

Also I learned during this heist you can throw stickies at Rubios valkyrie and send him away when he is airborne. It sits on the helipad on the left when you exit the compound gates.

Buy the Weapon Stash in "Hire Support Crew". That way your weapons are stored inside the hangar and you get to do normal stealth.

The only thing I learned to like about this DLC is the Toreador and that the heist can be done solo BUT its a few years too late as Im already rich so I dont have any incentive to rob Rubio let alone over and over.  Everything else is a big disappointment.  They straight up mislead us when claiming the biggest DLC yet.  smh  So many missed opportunities too.  A few I wish were implimented...

  1. Secondary targets shouldve had an effect on our MC businesses.  For example you steal coke and weed and get a boost to your MC coke and weed sales.  Basically the heist is also a resupply mission and since these supplies came directly from the source we get double money in sales.

  2. After you steal all the different main targets we shouldve gotten a choice to connect with El Rubio (maybe he finds out Madrazo sent us and he offers us a deal to work with him instead?).  This deal would give us Madrazo's spot as rubio's main distributor which gives our weed and coke businesses a permanent boost in sales (maybe 1.5?).  You can continue to heist El Rubio but if you get caught once he takes back the deal.

  3. Fight Club instead of Music Locker.  First of all the cookie cutter designed music locker is not special at all.  Shouldve just added all that they did to our already existing clubs and gave them some life back?  Stuborn decision.  I was able to create multiple fight stages in the creator within a week so I know professionals can do ONE legit fight arena in 6 months.  Hell they couldve cookie cutter any of mine.  Regardless,  Fight club wouldve hands down been a better choice to put under the casino than the dance club.  Who goes to a casino to dance?  They do go to bet $ tho and prize fighting is something people bet on and definately more likely to be in casinos than dance clubs.  Im willing to bet anything that players wouldve participated in fighting waaay more than dancing.  This wouldve started a inner community just like car meets.

 

R* was simply lazy and cheap with this DLC but ignore me.  Im just a 2013 vet thats burnt out on R*'s decisions.

There are more than that.  One thats pretty dumb is when you exit the compound.  Multiple heists but still cant remember the button to open the gates.  lol  Its also poorly implimented within the action because the guards are right there but somehow cant see you standing there trying to figure out how to leave.  Poor job R*.  smh

I can't believe how many people believed "biggest update" referred to anything other than file size as a lazy marketing trick... We got a thousand GTA youtubers out there and nobody managed to prepare people for this realization? I guess hype sells youtube clicks just as much as shark cards.

it's typical rockstar logic that the bolt cutters and torch can get through hardened chain links but not light mesh fencing

best example is the secondary loot stash on the upper level at the airport you can't just cut the fence you have to muck around picking up a crate with a forklift then lifting it next to the fence for a makeshift ladder

The ridiculous amount of Buzzards respawning on the island is relentless. In the end I just jumped off a cliff at the back of the compound and swam out to sea, Heist passed.
