Well I finally spotted the truck but it's in an area with two cameras and two guard patrols so I got the picture but unfortunately got caught and kicked off the island. Hopefully now I can start on the guard clothing and finish off the exit/entry points and I'll be fully prepped!
Razar
Sorry but don't the points of interest reset the next time you restart the heist anyway? So getting all of them is basically useless really.

Yes they reset each time but I figure the more I scout the island now the more likely I will remember the spawn points in each location for next time. Currently all that's missing from my intel are 2 bolt cutters, 2 grapples and 3 guard clothing, back I go again for one final time tonight! Most of this stuff is useless though since you can just go in from Drainage anyway and the cutter you use for that doubles as bolt cutter too. No Homing
I found a skeleton and some graves I can sent a pic of to Pavel, is there any point to that? It doesn't show up anywhere on the heist planning table and I don't think there's an award related to it. Are there more of those points of interest? typ1cal_ag
follow up on this, I think there is more in to these, on the seperate islands, i have seen 5 so far, one With a box shape stone (probably with scripture i forgot to check), another is Tombstones in a circling form, almost looks like a ritual, there's old rusty armor and a small wagon in the south island i think, the other one has Triangular shaped bricks in a weird formation, and the whale is the last one , when you take a picture of them, all of them triggers a "send to pavel" option, and pavel with converse with a dialogue, i forgot the others, but i remember the whale conversation, where pavel talks about something "bad" that he had been on probably one of his old missions then he proceeds to not talk about it because "its not what we came for " i think is what he said, the other dialog i remember is the one after you take a picture of the armor, he talks about how old those things are and that we are probably not the only ones to tried to get in the island in the past. i will try to get them in pictures with subtitle, and on a sidenote pavel likes to talk about his past often, and in the middle of his dialog he always changes his mind to not talk about it, so yeah im pavel is already a beloved character but i think theres more to him that we do not know. Well apparently not nearly loud enough to get you discovered anyway expecially if you kill the guards in the immediate proximity and that's really all that matters. Why waste hours trying to do the Scope out mission when you can do that one in 5 minutes then get the blowtorch?

Gridl0k
So if you want to do this heist with 4 players you have to locate 4 disguises or grappling hooks? What, the hooks disappears after first use? What a f*cking sh*tshow. What if *gasp* I don't actually know how many people I'm going to launch with? The supply truck is not by the airport and the pilot symbol as seems to be shown in every video/map I've checked so I can't get any guard clothing as a result. Bolt cutters and Grapple Hooks I can spot but how can I not see a big truck? Is the truck in a different location each time or am I missing something, also every time I return to the island I get about 30 mins then a chopper starts patrolling, but that didn't happen last night and I spent a lot longer on the island, what triggers this? It can also be stored next to a building at the main docks, I found it there.

x_v
Dumb question, but how probable/possible is it to datamine the spawn locations of the points of interest? While searching the island without any good guides, all of which seem to be missing items when cross-checked with other guides, I've noticed a lot of locations that seem like they could be spawn points based on the spawns of other items. For example, there's an outpost (I think they're outposts, the almost fully enclosed square of boxes with various items inside and outside of them) north of the runway just west of the hangar that has a couple of secondary targets in it, yet I haven't seen a spawn there, or seen reference to items spawning there, but it could be a spawn based on other outposts being spawn locations. That's just one example, another could be various old buildings, and/or construction sites, being spawns based on other locations having verified spawns. Yet another example would be all the things bolt cutters are known to spawn in and around, and how many similar locations there are around the island that don't have verified spawns yet. I don't think we'll realistically find all the spawns without datamining the script that generates the spawns, there's just too many potential locations we haven't seen yet, and it'll probably take months to have enough user-based data to compile a mostly complete spawn map, especially if some spawns are more common than others. Bonus points if the spawn script has coordinates, which I think it might as the objects have to spawn in, or at least have a reference to a coordinate table. Also, with how clustered the map is getting, has anyone considered making an interactive map like the gta-5-map website? I was making my own map, but gave up due to how clustered it was, and each good source using a slightly different model of base map, some use the player map style, some use the submarine map style. I had used Gtax BARRETT's maps as a reference for pois, along with the secondary target map by u/aliasdred, and the cutting powder spawns from the map made by u/-Zebo-, and found that the map was getting too difficult to read, even with very small map markers, as some of the locations just overlap too much (the watch tower we hack, for example, has all three main poi variants within it's location), and there's way too many spawn types to use a nicely color-coded key. What I was using also didn't account for infil/exfil locations, or consistent poi spawns like the watch tower and powerplant, and we could always dive deeper with pois that don't get recorded, like the solar farm, or other things that have dialog but aren't useful to the heist. There's also, allegedly, going to be additional items during the dripfeed, maybe during the heist but could also be during the post-heist revisit, from GENRON's 'New closed awards or...?' thread, showing 'lost and found' and 'treasure hunter' achievements that are relevant to Cayo Perico but aren't relevant to the heist, which means even more map markers. Between relevant heist content, irrelevant heist content, possible future post-heist content, and various easteregg-like (such as the open cage in the middle of the jungle, or the various ruins) locations, the Cayo Perico map is overwhelming, and we haven't even tracked much of anything outside the relevant heist content. But again, to properly do this, we'll need the aid of datamining, especially for coordinate accuracy, assuming the coordinates are easy to find; not to mention populating a map by hand is already tedious work (trust me, I've tried) with just relevant heist content, all the additional stuff will make it even more tedious. I reference the gta-5-map website because I personally prefer it over IGN's implementation of an interactive map, and if we ever see an interactive Cayo Perico map, I'd prefer it to be in the gta-5-map style; gta-5-map, to me, seems more organized, and much more optimized, IGN's map has always been laggy for me no matter which device and browser I use. x_v
So, bit of an update. Using OpenIV, I was able to get the ytyp files for the h4 props. Problem is, the ytyp uses hash_(8 digits in hex) for all of the names, asset names, and texture dictionary names. I can't seem to find a dictionary of hash names, so I fear I'll have to make my own by using a custom ytyp that spawns each new item using CodeWalker. If anyone happens to have a dictionary of hashes, that'd be helpful, as these prop ytyp files have all of the spawn coordinates of every possible prop; problem is, there's a lot more props than poi props. Once I have a dictionary of hashes, it's as simple as exporting all the coordinates and generating a map based on them. I believe I'm on the right track because the coke props have 26 spawn locations, and we have 26 tables behind 11 gates for secondary targets, this coincidence itself is enough proof that I'm looking in the right places; only problem is that the coke props have their own separate rpf from other props, cash and weed, so far, look to be the same way, but I need to go over every island related prop rpf to verify this, and I can't do that without a proper dictionary to translate hash_(number) to prop name. Tails Prower
So I have a 'probelmo' with my latest play of the heist. I have found all the Grappling Hooks and Guard Clothing but I cannot find 4th Bolt Cutter anywhere on the island. Have been using @Gtax BARRETT excellent video from earlier in the thread and I have checked all 12 Bolt Cutter spawn points but I notice the map includes a 13th location on same video? Are there any other places the bolt cutters might spawn (should I try checking inside the mansion on the camera's?) Any tips welcomed, I am probably gonna play it without the final one but curious as to why it's not in any of the locations...
