The RUNE Kosatka is a fully functional submarine used for The Cayo Perico Heist. It can be driven like other submersibles and has weapon systems like torpedoes while driving and anti-air missiles while using the periscope.

Assuming you can’t blow it up? You can spawn inside so I doubt it.

we were out in the Pacific where it's nice and deep, when our sonar operator went and fell asleep. Then a terrible crash awakened every hand and we woke up stuck here in the California sand. Now here we are...surfin' U.S.S.R.

In fact, I'd planned on buying a second yacht, so I'd have one on each character, but with one looking like a knockoff warship, rather than a luxury yacht - except that was a crap idea, because it's still just a luxury yacht underneath (in the same way that a camo-pattern Bentley isn't magically an APC! ). This, on the other hand, makes more sense - it's just really darn expensive, and I'm not sure how insufferable the mandatory NPC dude is going to be.

 

But ...eh, I'm not as resistant to the idea of this as I was - it looks good, and I can go all 'Hunt for Red October' in it, so I'll add it right to the very bottom of the shopping list, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Playing around with the guided missiles on this thing is pretty fun; it brings me back to when I used TV missiles in Battlefield 3. Those were a pain in the ass to control, but if you could handle them, you absolutely dominated. These are easier to control and lead targets.

 

I wonder what their damage values are, including splash damage.

Buy it. Its soooooooo worth it. One of the best vehicles in the game. Easily Top 3

So how many people can fully crew this thing? One driving, one using the periscope with lock on missiles, and two in the manual aim missiles right?

It would be interesting to test how well it can resist Savage/Lazer explosive rounds.

Guided missiles are fun as f*ck, installed them today and already claimed two bounties + a abandoned OP Mk2, the missiles are f*cking fast!

 

I wish there was a option to remotely detonate them, without needing to touch anything so it could be easier to catch the Mk2s in the air, but I suppose that would be OP as hell.

 

Regarding the rest of the sub...Meh.

Yes I believe it's 4 players manning it, but I think you can put more players inside the thing...Theoretically speaking it's a interior so there shouldn't be a limit to how many people can fit inside of it.

Yes I believe it's 4 players manning it, but I think you can put more players inside the thing...Theoretically speaking it's a interior so there shouldn't be a limit to how many people can fit inside of it.

You can remotely detonate them just exit the missile

How do you listen to the radio while piloting it?

It seems stupidly easy to blow up... even if its not indestructible you'd expect it to be as strong as say the Terrabyte or MOC, I think it's even weaker than the Avenger.   

 

On the plus side the flying the missile around the map is hitting nostalgia vibes as someone who used to play Unreal Tournament back in the day it feels like riding the redeemer again lol

I love it.

Parking it up near the beach gives you pretty much full control over the city including a bit of the vinewood hills and palomino. It will be fun to make some tryhards sweat.

The periscope however is a bit sh*t. It barely sticks out when submerged and in rough seas you'll get kicked out constantly because its below the water.

 

Another nice thing:

It can give my stromberg a proper home.

Also, hoping Kosatka gets a berch for customizing boats one day. Would be the perfect place to do it, except for the private island (not the Cayo Perico)
