2 artworks fill it completely (though still room for the primary objective of course). Or 1 art and 1 pile of coke. That's all I've done so far though. :)

Thanks. I'd assume gold will be the same then, 2? Or perhaps just one. Basically for a 4 man elite from my research (still not played it yet, although I've started the scoping), I want to be able to work out how many secondary targets we need to visit to fill the bags. This sounds good. Cash if it takes 4 stacks to fill a bag is obviously unhelpful.

I want to do a 4 man elite with some buddies, I guess the big challenge is going to be to make sure everyone can fill their loot bag without going all the way across the map (and hence running out of time). So I'm trying to work out if we can get what we need from the compound and the nearest docks without going all the way up to the airport, if you get me.

 

Yep, it did for me, 4x separate targets of "cash" before it was full. 3x for weed, 2x for cocaine. As a solo player on normal mode if I recall - no idea if the difficulty plays into carrying capacity. 

 

Good point on the "team challenge" - if you've got some good targets in the compound, perhaps you'll fill up the bags with that, but maybe you'll need to venture out a bit. Random number game, and all that.

Is it just me or does anyone else want to see a fully manned and genuine Submarine Crew like Sea of Thieves where everyone man's a station with a Captain barking orders and actually piloting the Sub and then a Strike Team launch in the Sparrow or Avis to do the Prep Work.

I'm yet to get any gold so have no more info on that, although I'm sure I read that 1 pile of gold fills 60% of a bag, which sounds about right. But @Gaffa's info is great too. Soz for the delay. :)

Cool, no worries for the delay. Interesting stuff. If 3 weed fills the bag, it sounds like 1 gold plus 1 weed might fill it too? Or maybe it will be just short. If 1 weed may be more than 33% if the you don't quite fit all of the third stack in your bag. It depends whether the game is rounding up or rounding down when it's determining the limit. I think we need @Tez2 to help crack exactly what percentage each type fills the bag by!

 

EDIT: So just watched a video. Gold does take around 60% of your bags capacity, then if you try to take a second gold, you don't take it the whole pile. I reckon the precise percentages could be worked out by watching the how much value is taken each time. But it requires no one else to be taking another stack at the same time to measure precisely. Gold looks to be $528k a stack.

Some observations from looking at various videos.

 

Two weed and 1 cash fills a loot bag. I would guess weed fills 37.5% of the bag and cash is 25%.

 

Coke and Art look like they are 50% of the bag each.

 

This fits with what @Gaffa and @Lonely-Martin have said and videos I’ve watched. Coke and two cash fills your bag with no stack left. Coke plus weed plus cash leaves a little bit of cash behind that won’t fit, same if it’s art instead of coke. The maths seems to work.

 

The big question for me that I haven’t worked out is how much of the bag gold fills. It’s definitely around the 60% mark. But if it’s 62.5% or a bit more gold plus weed nicely fill one loot bag. If it’s lower you need a third secondary target.

 

As above for anyone just picking this up and not reading the earlier bits - this matters if you are going for the elite - you need to fill your bags, but its much more time efficient if you can do that grabbing two secondary targets instead of three. Also with a 4 man team it's worth considering the combinations people take. A player taking gold for example shouldn't take cash next as they're liable to be just short of filling their bag. Coke, Weed, Cash is a wastefull combination, as Coke, Cash Cash would give you a full bag and another team member takes the Weed instead. But it obviously depends how close the targets are too. Coke, coke is obviously great to fill the bag perfectly in 2, but maybe not if you have to go all the way to the airport to get them. Lots to think about if you want to do a time efficient loot grab on this heist.

what i'm wondering is if there's a more efficient means to squeeze as much money as possible out of secondary loot. I don't need the money, but i like optimizing stuff like that

 

cocaine pays a lot but also fills a lot, while weed/cash don't pay as much but dont take as much room. I wonder if there's a combination of gold/art/coke/etc that gets you a sweet spot payout

I am not sure but I assume if you find the drainage tunnel and unlock the ability to Prep the blow torch thing you can use it to cut the lock the first time.

I went in through the drainage tunnel and had blow torch but when I got to a certain point the alarm triggered no matter what. No guards had me in sight at least so could be I took down to many cameras but was at least one left. No big deal, finished the heist solo the first run so I have done it no at least

Right! How dare the guards raise the alarm after multiple cameras have gone down... totally unrealistic.

Yh, it's much more realistic with flying bikes and cars with rockets and from what it seems some people think that it's even less realistic with snow on a tropical in the same game..

Anyway when you see other people say it's no problem to take down several cameras as long as one is left it's realistic to think there's some consistency in what R* does..

Lol, that time I was just pointing there's much more unrealistic things in this game than your realism arguments, your snow in Texas argument was however with another guy, I just pointed out it's more unrealistic with flying cars and bikes than snow on a tropical island..

I've gone around and took all but 1 camera down on 3 occasions now and no alarms have gone off. While the alarm likes to go off at random times elsewhere before I'd shot any cameras as I'm taking out an NPC that is isolated away from others in the area.

 

I was just mocking R*'s stealth as it can be a bit inconsistent/broken on heists. Always has been, deliver EMP, casino, and again here. It's nothing new.

 

You'd know this if you were a regular heist player, it's an age old and very common complaint. 

 

As for that realism bollocks, I think that flew off in the Deluxo's and  Oppressor's etc, lol. Long gone! 🤣

The Stealth system in this game is sh*t, it's always been sh*t. You can shoot a guy and watch as enemies walk past his corpse like nothing has happened. REALISTIC! As people have said realism went out the window with the Oppressor and Deluxo.

The number of Cameras you can destroy seems random. I have destroyed every camera from the airstrip to the compound and not been warned, I have destroyed a few and been warned.

 

Naming no names but it's not up to a regular user to demand what is and is not right for a topic, if you don't like what's being posted use the Report function and let the Mods decide instead of flipping out on people.

I remember on launch day in the many threads talking about this DLC someone link a video with a screencapture implying you could see shapes of Los Santos in the distance from the top of the radio tower. Does that ring any bell to anyone? I'm trying to see if it's true.

I don't know about the skyline itself but you can see the lights of LS behind you when you take the Alkonost approach.
