GTA:O Breakdown - Cayo Perico Heist a.k.a. YOU CAN DRIVE THE SUB!!

YOU CAN DRIVE THE SUB!!

I normally do a full breakdown for these types of updates. Not sure if this one needs it, but just in case, here is this thread (some things are just tradition now).

If you have any information to share, please add.

What we'll be figuring out.

  • Cost of money making items
  • The money to be made
  • Any and all requirements.

I'll be logging this all into the forums and my spreadsheet here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P1Hy1s4SCTa_oono_ZUo0GwkmtCVdaZER_ENjPkMdLo/edit?usp=sharing

1. To start the Heist, you need to purchase the sub

2. To purchase the sub, you need to contact Miguel Madrazo at The Music Locker (side of Casino)

  • Submarine    $2,200,000-$9,085,000
    • Upgrades
      • Color    $75,000
      • Sonar Station    $1,200,000
      • Guided Missiles    $1,900,000
      • Weapon Workshop    $350,000
    • Moon Pool Vehicles
      • Sparrow    $1,815,000
      • Kraken Avisa    $1,545,000

3. To access The Music Locker, you need Casion VIP status

NOTES:
DO NOT GO AROUND THE SIDE OF THE ISLAND. Rockstar put an invisible barrier, so no cheesing it.

"You are not a pack mule, there is only so  much you can carry. Want more, bring friends" - Pavel

CAN BE DONE IN INVITE ONLY LOBBIES

Setup Cost is $25,000
Fence takes 10% cut on some items

Pavel takes 2% cut

Repeating "Soon" increase the difficulty to Hard, but with higher payouts.

Can’t fly to the location, I dressed up as a 70s airline highjacker and everything but expectedly it seems to be behind a loading screen (which makes sense).

Hope it’s free roam.

The guided missiles in the sub has massive range, although very sluggish controls and no speed control, as in you can't speed up or down.

The range is roughly across the entire city.

By using the periscope you can fire anti-air missiles, range and tracking unknown so far.

Praying that you can easily lock onto and eliminate MK2--if this is the case that is how I'll be spending more than half my time in freemode now just trolling the sh*t out of broomsticks

I'm unsure about the health of the sub though. Sometimes they're destroyed in only four missiles, once it took me more than 10 and he still didn't die. Might be if they are manned/unmanned perhaps.

I'm sad to say the Subs Anti-air missiles are the poor old sh*t ones, and are completely useless to fend of assaults from boomsticks.

It's ok though because you cannot use the periscope underwater anyway 😂

The toreador is weird, underwater car with missiles and rocket boost, but you can go passive in it. Heading to the TT now...

Yeah, you can (for now) use the toreador in TTs

If you press autopilot at just the right moment you can be right below the surface and still use it, however I don't know if you're off radar or not.

The game really shows its age when playing on old gen consoles. I tried beaching the sub to see what happens, the game lagged like hell dropping to like 10fps. The island looks really aged as well on old gen. I'm not bashing on rockstar, giving us a map expansion was real brave of them but there's only so much you can do with a 7-year-old game

Anyone buy that new plane is it OP

Yes and no, other than being offradar above a thousand feet or so. It has the same bombs and same capacity for bombs as any other aircraft.

I wonder if it's the same tugboat glitch from GTA IV, seems collision calculation just goes haywire. Except in GTA IV you actually drop to like 1 FPS on the last-last gen consoles.

Painful memories of that. Script kiddies used to spam spawn them if they had a tantrum and wanted to f*ck up the session.

Here is something interesting...
I potatoed a lobby, did the intel, spent like an hour hanging about, and came back to my potato lobby when finished...

For someone who probably won't be able to check it out to the weekend, does this mean preps / intel / setups etc can't be done from invite only?
