What do you think will be the “free” thing for having Amazon prime with the update?

Usually whatever you need to do the new content a base version of it is free if you have prime. The penthouse and the arcade were free if you had prime

I hope it's the Sub, cause then I'd have 40M to spend on cars, maybe island properties and all the extra stuff.

Good question because I can't see there being a property in this update. Maybe if there are 3 subs to choose from, they will offer the cheap one?

Yeah, if it's anything like the arcade and penthouse, the base will be free but the pricey upgrades will still have us spending plenty.

Possibly the base submarine, but also possible it's the casino penthouse again as we need that to access the VIP section of thd new nightclub there.

I'll be pleased with a vehicle depending on it's sale price. Over 2,5M I'm good, under that it's a waste.

I was about to post about the Sonic Station. Honestly? I don't agree with you, @Gaffa, and I am NOT a fan of this update at all lol, but I was very happy with the $1.2 Million I saved when I purchased the sub and upgraded it with all the bells & whistles.  Obviously, all that weekly Prime money is nice, and I always love the deep-discounts on vehicles. The Tezeract is a real beauty, which I bought, and I already own a Krieger. Though I may buy it again to have two for varied customizing, or sell my old one back.

 

By the way, I didn't get a "rebate" for the Sonar Station. I purchased it when I updated my game, like an hour after the update launched, and when I was building my sub in Warstock, the $1.2 Million was crossed out and it was free for that upgrade.

To each their own. 

A free "upgrade" that the majority of players won't use more than a handful of times because they'll realise they can make much more money and RP from doing other things.

Would've been better to waive the initial cost, seeing as the submarine is actually required for the heist.

I understand your point, but I seriously doubt this would be received by the majority of players who don't have Prime and can't receive these benefits. The sub for free, even without upgrades is $2.2 million, and while I love getting the Prime member benefits, I feel like it would be a little unfair to a lot of other players for me to get that sub for free. Plus, it's not like the Sonar Station free discount is the only thing we get for being Prime subscribers. There is an extra million a month, plus a lot of other cool discounts. I guess my point is that I am very satisfied with all the Prime discounts and freebies I have received since I started playing GTAO a little over 6 months ago.

Wait, are we still weighing the ″fairness″ of getting a couple million GTA dollars 5 years post-game launch, with the 100′s of millions of GTA dollars Rockstar has given out in promos, login bonuses, discounts, cross brand promotions, ″refunds″, etc? On top of the straight up GTA cash you can just buy, often at 50-70％ discounts.

 

It's one thing if you don't care about not getting a bigger bonus, but talking about fairness and GTA money at this point is...lol.

In a way you’re kind of making my point for me, @Commche. There is already so much money being given away in this game, and so easily “earned.” When I get bonuses for things like being an Amazon prime subscriber, I’m just grateful to get them, I guess. It didn’t bother me at all that I had to pay for the sub and most of the upgrades, except for the one small one for 1.2 million. Quite the opposite. As you said, this game gives you money for just spitting on the sidewalk, also known as logging in LOL. Plus, add in going AFK/Solo, And all the money you can make easily that way, by just selling a full bunker and a full night club every once in a while, not to mention spamming the casino heists, by grinding out peps.

 

Don’t get me wrong, I love all the discounts. But it’s more of the game to me at this point than actually budgeting my money LOL.
