GTA:O Performance

So what kinda of performance do you guys see on GTA:O?

Currently with a 1080 and i7-4790k I usually will see drops down to 50 in the city and up to around 120 in very open areas. Everything is pretty much maxed but I may end up dipping settings down to see no less than 60.

Though I don't really ever remember gta online being this bad performance wise until I went to windows 7 but it may have been I was running a 970 on lower settings.

Mine's decent, as long as I don't have a full session with 32 players with explosions everywhere, but I keep extended distance scaling off. (advanced graphics)

That setting alone will hammer your CPU's performance, no matter what graphics card you got. More view distance means more world to process for the CPU, on top of all the other player activity.

In the normal graphics tab, you should be able to run everything on Ultra (except grass: High) with 4x msaa on a 1080.

Im going to guess extended distance scaling is whats eating my frames.

I've played around with settings and for some reason my game still sucks even after this update I only see 45 fps on the island. If I lower my settings a lot I see frame drops, if I increase my settings my frames go up but I am never actually able to see above 60fps in the city.

I don't know whats going on but my cpu is only at 60% and my gpu is like 5% maybe.
