How do I create "private" public sessions on PC

GTA:O is literally unplayable unless you do private sessions. There are modders in every session and they destroy your game, so with that being said I'd like to help my friends with their business and stuff but I'm not sure how people create these public sessions by themselves. I know it only lasts for so long before people join but it would be nice to make a quick sale or something, does it involve disconnecting your internet for a bit or is there something else?

open Task manager, go to Performance tab, click the button to open Resource monitor. (or type "resmon" in start menu)

In resource monitor, find GTA5.exe, suspend it for 10 seconds, resume, done. You are now in a lobby alone. People can still join you, but you can repeat this trick.

Don't do this during heists, unless someone else is messing up so bad that you want to leave, but you don't want to receive bad sport points.

SessionSweeper or manually, activating the firewall off and on. You could also whitelist IPs from friends, so you could connect ONLY to them, in theory, but only after game startup.
Otherwise, hardware solution would be a lagswitch, disconnecting the yellow wire in the patch cable for 5 seconds makes you disconnect from session without being kicked to storymode.

A bit laggier than it was a few months ago (or might be my potato connection) but does the trick and keeps me alone.

This, it feels like heaven sometimes, that peace... but you have to check sometimes if someone has joined some time later, for me usually a player joins my lobby like one hour and a half after doing the Task Manager trick, but if the player is not harmful...you don´t need to repeat the process again, sometimes the player leaves because there is nobody in the lobby so it´s not a problem

 Or on the more unfortunate end... It turns out that player is a modder and they crash your game  Only had it happen twice but still...

You can lock out anyone from joining though.

Ill have to try the suspend feature so hopefully we can get some stuff done finally in these sessions.

Is there any specific tab I need to be under in resource monitor, or does any work? Like cpu, network, disk etc?

works in all tabs I think

If you want a session just to your self and are using xfinity. Login into your router and change the security settings from whatever it is to high.

 

When you start up the game it will place you in an empty public session every time. It's 100% effective and impossible for anyone to join you. 

 

This works for all platforms.

 

Just remember then when you want to play with others you will need to change it back before starting the app.

Network is the tab

Thema find gta5.exe and stop process for like 10 seconds
