zPhoenix
I was wondering, does a higher difficulty level imply higher payout for *each* of gold, money and XP? For example, I am grinding gold to buy one of the two discounted roles before the discounts go away. So, if gold is the same and not affected by difficulty I might be better off doing the easier bounties.
Krommer
Ah, just found this, so I was wrong about the gold: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedDeadOnline/comments/e4mwj9/bounty_hunter_payouts_and_tips/ Quote If you want the most gold, it's of no difference what bounty mission you do - from single target $-bounties to legendary bounties on the hardest difficulty. It doesn't matter if the target is alive or dead. 12 minutes missions are the best. A full 30 minute mission nets you 0.48 gold while two 12 minute missions will give you 0.64 gold (0.32*2) in 6 minutes less Like a regular bounty might get me near 200 xp, but I remember the Legendary or $$$ infamous ones maybe getting around 900, oh or I guess the same as other $$$ (so it may have just been the Legendary where it was more like 900.) https://www.reddit.com/r/RedDeadOnline/comments/k5zzr6/infamous_bounties_guide/ Quote The payout seems to be the same as the normal 3-star bounties. You definitely don't get legendary bounty money or XP. I was not paying as much attention to the gold, but it was somewhat higher on the harder ones. I was mainly grinding Bounty Hunter, Outlaw Pass and then the 0-10,000 bounty Hunter xp for a (actually .5 gold and $100) reward after I got to 30 in Bounty Hunter (that repeats, so you can just keep getting that 10,000 xp for (.5 gold and $100 ) I would say it is worth it, for the new infamous posters especially. The individual parts, since there are 3 parts or something, are not REALLY that much harder than regular bounties (but with a higher payout.) So you are getting a $$$ each part of it, basically, while them not seeming even as hard as the old regular $$$ to me. Like it might be track this ONE guy, then easily catching him, or one part of it might be kind of hard like the one involving a train, but then often the last part was LAUGHABLY easy with the bounty already in a wagon and you are more or less just the "escort." OH something I forgot: There is also that "award", not for a buckle, but 0/10 infamous bounty posters That also pays a gold, when completed, but only the one time (unlike the 0-10,000 xp bounty for one gold (er or rather .5 gold and $100?), which I've done 3 times now.) kcole4001
The infamous ones are probably your best bet, they pay an additional $75 when you complete the last mission from each poster, so for a new player that's a pretty big deal. They're really not terribly hard, just keep an eye on your ammunition between missions, restock at camp or a post office when necessary. The train missions can be hard if you haven't got a really decent saddle/stirrups yet, that's the biggest hurdle I found early on. I just couldn't keep up with the train - the stamina kept running out. I think that's the Blackwater infamous bounty poster, so maybe wait on that one until you're sure you have a good ride plus the good saddle/stirrups combination, which were rank locked back then...maybe not now? Not sure about those. The hooded stirrups are what you need, pretty much any saddle will work OK, but the Nacogdoches saddle is best for long rides hands down. Bounty pay plateaus are 6, 9, 12 minutes and so on, apparently your best efficiency is to wait til you roll over the 9 minute mark fro maximum gold per hour. Do one mission at one board, drop off the bounty, move to the next board (#2) and do one there, drop the target, move to board #3, then you can go back to board #1 and resume the first poster, and so on. Is there time to stop that train? I was plenty fast with the Nagogenzhchez (SP) saddle and -50 stirrups, so jumped to it from the hrose (harder for earlier player, as you said.) After I killed the guys and got the bounty hogtied, I casually stepped off the last car of the train (we barely took a spill, unlike some people who said they died if they tried another part of the train.) 1 hour ago, kcole4001 said: Bounty pay plateaus are 6, 9, 12 minutes and so on, apparently your best efficiency is to wait til you roll over the 9 minute mark fro maximum gold per hour. Ah, yeah still don't have the handle on payouts really either. Since I'm impatient, what I do is only wait until it JUST dips below 5 minutes (if near that) or JUST dips below 10 minutes, if near that. It often seems like they are near one or the other. Yeah, alternating boards worked well. I was doing 3-4 of the infamous boards at a time so could go back around. I think i did all the "main city" ones and Emerald ranch? The ones I have left are the ones not near a fast travel wheel (Benedict, etc.) but now I finally got 97 Outlaw past so have fast travel from Wilderness! So I'll do those next. zPhoenix
Thanks for the answers. It seems that for pure speed of gold income the single star easy bounties stretched to 12 minutes (from the launch of the mission) is the best... and that is what my gut was telling me. And the infamous bounties are good if you can get the poster done.
kcole4001
I forgot to mention, the $75 bonus is a one time payout per bounty poster, so if you do that group again, you'll only get the normal payout for each, no completion bonus.
IamCourtney
Keep in mind you can drop a bounty off at any jail, regardless of where it initially tells you to bring them. Bringing them somewhere other that where you started can be a good way to pad the timer and guarantee there's a bounty of your desired difficulty waiting to be started. BUT THE BENZ
so the new bounties, those for multiple targets split into each of their own mission, I see the game saves the progress on those. I did/am doing the 3 golts?! got the poster in st. denis, killed the 1st bounty accidentally 2 nights ago. today I've been back to the same bounty board in st. denis and the poster is up there with 1 of 3 guys already crossed out. I hoped it would let me start this one from scratch as I intended to bring 'em all in alive. can I replay this 3-parter bounty only after I completed it? Yeah they’re repeatable after you’ve completed all parts, and they are all the same parts in, in the same order, so you can at least know what not to do your start all over again. It would have been nice if all 3 parts were random instead of in order though so when you play it again it’s somewhat different instead of it being repetitive. Obviously it does become easier to find the Bounty when you start over again if you remember where they are located, saves time going to the last known location and inspecting everything to find them, especially the 2nd part of the Blackwater Infamous Bounty (when it successfully loads that is) since you can go directly to train and not have to play catch up if you went to the last known location first, as the train starts moving as soon as you go to the last known location, found that out the hard way heh! Krommer
On the last 2 of the infamous bounty posters for me, Riggs and Wallace stations (finished Benedict.) Gets irritating then, since so long before can do next part and only two posters Could do the older ones, but yeah repetitive; maybe I'll throw in a Legendary or something. I've been just doing the $ and $$ ones some, if there is still a delay and the other $$$/non-infamous one is overly irritating (like 4 people.) On 12/12/2020 at 8:30 PM, AdamNortonUK said: especially the 2nd part of the Blackwater Infamous Bounty (when it successfully loads that is) Yeah, don't think I'll ever repeat that one... Some of them were kind of easy and fun, especially if put you in a solo session (I should have kept notes!)
