Android GTA:SA - No radio songs, just ads

Hi all, I've recently reinstalled gta:SA on my android and found that there's not any music on the radio. My last install had music but I'm a little fuzzy on the reasons...

 

It's been a few years but something in my head is telling me that I searched about this problem a while back and read online that when the game was ported to android that the music licensing had expired and bc of that the only audio on the radio was just those corny advertisements between songs

I also believe in that message was a mod (aka cleo?) That I downloaded and extracted and added to my android files that restored original game audio?

 

Does that sound correct?

 

The only results on turning up are instructions for how to add custom music to the game but nothing about how to restore original music that's missing from the android version which is how I found out about this forum via a reddit post
