Only the Akula comes to my mind. And it's still easier to see a chopper in the sky then a submarine somewhere under water. Other thing, the chopper's tank might not have enough fuel to get you there (and back), you ever thought about that?

 

Anyway, arguing about absolutely stupid stuff in a game that it's not like it's the best example of realistic-realistic implementations (just look at your weapons you carry with you and the amount of ammo for them). Just be happy that the new property will be on/under the water, probably will be like the Terrorbyte or the MOC or the Avenger and you'll be able to sail with it. And there's plenty of water that can use some sailing (with purpose) in this game.

I don't mean to be a killjoy but I have not seen anything that makes me truely excited about the DLC. Yes, the Sub looks cool but it will be the Yacht only underwater and the Heist can be done Solo but like always, I want new and fun toys.

 

Yaaaay...more Sports cars, yaaaaay...an open-top Jeep that people will just shoot you out of. The new Bomber looks good, I hope it can go Stealth. That would shake the games Meta up, imagine being able to sneak up at high speed on MkII's.

Honestly,I'm not as impressed with the trailer as I expected.Worst case scenario,the DLC will be just as unimpressive as the trailer for it.Best case scenario,R* didn't wanna reveal too much in the trailer and the DLC will actually have a bunch of pleasant surprises like cool new vehicles, weapons and clothes, a few new radio stations playing a variety of good music (hopefully some new rock/metal music), reasonable prices, no activities exclusive to public session, no paywalls (buy this to unlock that), etc.

I can't think about any paywall besides the submarine and maybe a property on either LS or the island (mostly the island)

That's what I'm afraid of.Imagine having to spend over 5 millions to buy a submarine that would take you on an island to do a heist and earn like $500000.

The trailer gives us near 4M in loot, so I'd say it'll pay around 3M or sth like that. The best you can make is around 3M in the DCH (before paying Lester and friends) so it will certainly pay more.

Well this trailer is very 'meh' category.

 

I am curious to play but as I said in the Next DLC thread I'll wait till the holidays to have a look at the heist and by then you will all have put up the interesting 'info; of what's new with the DLC.

 

Would be very happy if there is some decent clothing this time round as was actually surprised to find a few bits I liked when I caught up with the Summer DLC and hopefully there is a further teaser trailer to come before Tuesday that might

have some more detail.

 

Thought I was feeling 'odd' in that I wasn't as hyped about it as I was from the original article but glad to see I am not the only one thinking that way on here, hope Tuesday causes a few surprises, I dread but await with anticipation the pre-requisites we have to purchase to be able to participate in the heist since I still can't afford Casino Penthouse, Arcade (yes I know they are on sale) and what not but one step at a time!

Newest trailer showed this update is going to be the opposite of what most of us expected. It's just GTA Online in a nutshell. The same gameplay process and estructure to the 10th power.

 

First IG teaser and mainly first trailer created an interesting serious vibe that, for a moment, I thought this could be the update to really give meaning to this game again after all these years. 

 

With this trailer, I was just brought back to the reality of GTA Online: Bad writing, unnecessary hyping with bad music and childish action cinematics and the worst character design in rockstar history. Really disappointed with what the character of "El rubio" turned out to be.

You have every right to be negative as long as it's well expressed.

 

But the overall feeling of negativity about this DLC is surprising, and as you say, perhaps we have finally and collectively had enough of GTA online and the current gaming model?

 

Yet another hole in the ground masquerading as another nightlife experience using the same old cheesy actors had me rolling my eyes, and visions of that bridge loading scene in GTA Vice City every time you went across to the other island. Are we really in for yet more loading screens and black holes while we wait for the code to get itself together? And what's more interesting is that my online racing community hardly mentions it. Yeah, we're going to get new vehicles and lots of new toys to play with, but it reiterates how refreshing the Summer Special felt this year even though there was no major added content, because instead it concentrated on quality of life.

 

Personally, I would prefer to see more organic and subtle content that makes freemode a better place to enjoy with friends and crew; however, even though Rockstar are adding yet more Christmas jazz to the game that will technically drudge it down further, it's good to keep an open mind and wait to see what happens next week, but I fully understand the tired negativity that so many people feel right now.

Definitely not. Its in the ocean, so your limited greatly for griefing purposes. And at least using the missile will take some skill unlike the fairy stick that the bots fly around.

You nailed it. Quality of life is what the game's base players that never took time off from the game, like myself, really want in the DLCs. I want to be able to edit my high end apartments some more. I want more paintings for the penthouse only i get to see. lol.

And Instead of having to invade an island, i would have rather been in charge of protecting it from an invasion for El Rubio from other players. Heist vs Anti-Heist Teams...both prep and when both ready to go, boom two teams get thrown into same lobby and head over to teh Island, you know, some of the same but different. Maybe ill host a card game at the Penthouse, can I do that? dont answer, i digress.

my guess is the madrazo files in the trailer (1.1 million) is the minumum pay, if you scout the island further you can find more valueables and more points of interest to steal from, which will increase your pay. My guess is the max pay will be around 5 million if you find all the "loot"

Sure, we had a QoL update earlier this year that had no major content, but concentrated on new cars, game balances and bug fixes, which felt really fresh, but here we are before Christmas with a NEW ISLAND and yet it already feels stale.

Yeah as a fan of the game I dont want to say it feels stale...I think stagnant is how I would put it after that trailer. Granted we only got a few seconds of the trailer so we know nothing but yes, even a shot of glowing armor bands on one of the cartel members would have gotten me a little more excited. Hey, as a fan of the game in 2020, I hope we come back here and have to give R* credit for giving us the BEST DLC EVER!

A helicopter isn't exactly a car so again, I don't see the need to limit possibilities and strategy.
