The Cayo Perico Heist - Trailer 2

Some of you guys really put me to shame in the negativity department. I realize this update (like so many others) is probably more limited in scope than what you wanted. But I would be thrilled just to have another casino-like heist. I've poured untold hours into doing that heist in all its different variations with my friends--doing the three approaches, doing the different entrances and exits, doing the elite challenges, etc. It's a content bath with the difficulty set, IMO, just about right, and it's lucrative. For my money it's the best thing they ever put in the game for grinders. So I'd be very happy to have another thing just like it, even if whatever releases with it for free roam purposes is disappointingly little.

Isn't this one of the Misc Casino characters? I can't remember if it's the to-be bride, or her friend. You can usually see them at the bar near the gift shop.

Hard to tell, but the voice kind of matches, so I would not be surprised. If this is the case, where's the other half of the "Hot Mess Express?"

Hate to be negative but I'm going to share what I think. This looks like more generic GTAO fodder. All the trailers are in the same style. It's a bit corny. This looks really uninspired. The only thing that keeps me mildly interested is new piece of map. Other than that it's the same generic-junk, pop-culture, trendy and vapid nonsense deserved of the 'new GTA fan' with credit card in one hand for those shark cards, while drool is dripping on to the other hand as he grips his cock controller like it's the last game on Earth.  

 

Not for me. Think I'm done with GTA. Wake me if GTA VI is anything of a return to form, not just another cynical exercise on pumping freemium content out there to stimulate the rip-off Shark-Card economy.

I feel the trailer just answer the big question, about the island being only a heist location or accesible in free mode... but i hope i'm wrong, at the moment the submarine and the new heli are the only thing i'm still excited

I think the trailer really didn't answered anything at all, it just teased some more content...As a matter of fact this trailer is quite more of the samey generic stuff we got with all the other trailers.

No doubt, I think the dialogues for GTA Online in general were always "meh" at best, specially in the trailers, but this one just feels generic and soulless.

I saw some cool things the hook and rope thing and the guys rappelling from the chopper.

 

Submarine looks cool.

 

Some very cool aquatic vehicles.

 

No new weapons to speak of but this has to have new weapons. Im seriously going to be bummed if thats not the case.

 

I'm wondering if this is related in any way to the random drug dealer encounter they added and that wierd contact Al something. They did say this El Rubio is connected to Madrazo. Im wondering if thats future content possibly.

That's the thing buddy. Not all of us get a chance to group play enough to Heist that much. I personally have only taken part of a handful of heists despite owning every business type available. Lester still calls me about doing the finale to the original Heist, LMAO. For heist squads, these updates kick ass, but for the rest of us...we have to find our excitement elsewhere, that's all. I think I would be a little more excited say if we had been able to at minimum create Survivals on the Aircraft carrier, then I'd assume we would be able to do the same on the new island.

Yes they do! They're judging an entire DLC that no one has seen yet based off a minute long trailer. So what if it doesn't have your grappling hook? Do something about it! Come up with a good idea and bring it to Rockstar. If it's good enough, I'll sure they'll hear you out! Elon Musk did the same thing with NASA and look at him! You could do even better make a game that's better than GTA Online. Sitting back complaining like a little kid about something free never got anybody anything! everybody's always complaining about money in the game and here is another opportunity to get with your friends and do that. They even said you'll be able to do this one by yourself, but everybody complaining isn't coordinated enough to do it by themselves let alone with the team!

I can understand the frustration of when team based DLC arrives and that those not having/wanting a team to enjoy the new stuff. 

 

But this one can be done solo so now those solo players can get in and have a go at heisting without needing the team. Surely that's a positive?

Best part of the DLC for sure. For people that don't care about Heists at all, they are the ones wanting to see the new clothing and stuff in the trailers. Its all R* fault for saying its the biggest update ever and people expecting lots of content besides another club and heist.

I'm hopeful of a few surprises, but absolutely agree/understand there's some just not keen on heisting at all too. If we get plenty of toys and a good helping of other bits like some missions or adversary modes/races (or survivals on the island like you said) tucked in with this, that'd be good.

 

But we have seen R* limit their offerings at times too, Afterhours with a less well received car list/dripfeed comes to mind, and RDRO this month is a stark reminder to keep expectations low too, lol.

Just a few weeks ago I was optimistic about this. Not anymore. Only thing that is going to save this is free roam and a free/really cheap submarine as a Christmas present. If that that's not included, well, yeah, hmm.  Like @Mister Pink said, wake me up when there is actually some quality content. Or I'm I having a bad dream? Was I really waiting for this?

So the music is the same generic shiet as previous updates, raps mofos crackheads and pop-culture/electronic uninspired "artists", feels like these ppl grow on trees or are cheap as f*ck to R* always be adding them instead of some proper music.
R* catering to the potheads that can't get a thought straight but think clear enough to buy some sharkcards feels like. Smh, the heist better play well and be fun then.
