Why cant we change the song on the radio when we have flying cars, bikes and every other thing like laser guns

Technology in the GTA universe hasn't reached that point yet.

Sad but true.

I'm trying to figure out your perspective here. Have you not figured out how to change the radio channel or specifically the song itself on the station? As someone pointed out, you can't change the song on a real radio so why would you do that in the game? Perhaps what you're trying to get at is why we don't have a personal playlist that we can set up for the radio, as though the cars had CD players and we had our own mixtape. Is this the type of feature you're referring to, like the one in Saint's Row 3 where you can pick and choose what songs you want to here on your mixed station?

Sadly none of the console versions of GTA have the ability to use your own music for a radio station (GTA3 and Vice City at least had the MP3 "station" on PC when you had music files (or shortcuts) in the right folder.

If I'm not mistaken, you could in the Xbox version of GTA San Andreas.

xboxes back then could rip the music from cds and play from there. on 360 a large portion of launch titles had the ability to replace background music from the game with music from a flashdrive/usb hard drive or even stream it from a lan pc via the horror show that was microsoft media center. used to do it all the time back in highschool, i miss it, current alternatives just deafen the game as a whole and plays the music over it.

So does GTA IV and GTA V.

Yeah, kinda sucks when you're listening to WHAM! on non-stop pop FM and then when the music ends they throw some stupid sh*t at you like Rihanna.

IsekaiExpress

You actually can with ";" and ":" keys, but you have to change radio settings in Audio?

Makes no sense

Consider grammar and punctuation next time you post because your sentence is just one long run on sentence and it doesn't make any sense and i had to break it down in order to understand what you were trying to say and it just kept running and yeah and and and yeah makes no sense

For the same reason you can’t turn off the score music without turning off ALL music. Rockstar wants you to hear what they want when they want how they want, or not at all. We still can’t listen to music outside of vehicles either. A lot of sh*t they do makes no sense.

Would like to see the ability for us to just plug some USB flash disk or HDD, and choose our playlist folder, that can be integrated to the game custom radio station...

  * I like self radio... add your mp3s to a folder.. and rock on.  Nothing but songs I like.

Ok! So, try to follow me on this one because I'm going to out on a limb here....maybe it's because that's not how radios work.

I know, I know, crazy right? Totally wack-a-do.

Funny thing that we have the "media player", since the Tunners DLC, that let you skip through tracks and such, I think OP wants now all music catalog to be available there maybe?
