Himeros
I wanted to know if it's confirmed 100% that these two characters are not the same person, and if they're not, how is it confirmed? because I think it is the same characte, because they look very similar and they are both snitches and also being pushed around by someone in both games (Elizabeth in GTA 4, Steve Haines in GTA 5) Also, Elizabetha was brought down by IAA in GTA 4 (Andreas a IAA undercover agent). In GTA 5 he was again working as IAA undercover in the FIB to expose their corruption. Therefore it might be the same guy (even though they're voice by 2 different people) And a question: How is it known that Andreas Sanchez is Mexican but Andreas (gta4) is Puerto Rican? billiejoearmstrong8
The guy who worked for Elizabeta previously (Jorge) was the informant, Andreas was his replacement and it was never implied that he was one, unless you count Elizabeta being suspicious of literally everyone around her due to paranoia. Andreas is just a lowlife who works as a house servant for a drug dealer, Andreas Sanchez is a high level white-collar government employee, totally different. I also don't think they look alike. Andreas is just a common Hispanic name, only reason it was "reused" was because they thought up the gag of naming someone "Andreas Sanchez" in reference to San Andreas. To illustrate how little names mean in GTA, in the same game there's Puerto Rican characters called Elizabeta Torres and Mallorie Bardas, and Dominican characters who have no relation to them whatsoever called Armando Torres and Henrique Bardas. They just reuse common names sometimes. As for the ethnicities I think it's just assumed that Andreas is Puerto Rican because Elizabeta and a lot of the gang members and other characters from Bohan/who associate with her are. Similarly Andreas Sanchez is probably assumed to be of Mexican descent because the majority of Hispanic people in Los Santos are (and very few, if any, are Puerto Rican). Edit: According to the GTA wiki Andreas Sanchez even had a different beta name originally, "Miguel Gonzalez". I would say this confirms the two characters have nothing to do with each other. Also I think Andreas Sanchez is GTA V mimicking GTA SA in terms of having a snitch close to the antagonist (Officer Jimmy Hernandez snitching on Tenpenny). 3 hours ago, Himeros said: also being pushed around by someone in both games Sanchez was not pushed around by Steve. (But Officer Hernandez was pushed around by Tenpenny). 3 hours ago, Himeros said: Elizabetha was brought down by IAA in GTA 4 (Andreas a IAA undercover agent) Andreas isn't an undercover IAA agent as far as I know, he was still FIB and brought his own units to arrest Steve. 3 hours ago, Himeros said: (even though they're voice by 2 different people) Agreed on that part that accent/voice is totally different to be the same guy. Conclusion is that both characters are different and have nothing to do with each other. Edited December 7, 2020 by Ryo256 DeltaV20

The only time you see Jorge is once in Luck of the Irish and never again (in missions following that in TLAD he's already been replaced by Andreas). Elizabeta mentions in Have a Heart that Jorge "turned states" (ie informed on her to avoid jail time for himself) which explains his absence. It could also be possible that he transferred to the LS branch like Karen did. But I agree they are different people. I'm hispanic and there are very similar names a lot of people share the same names. Himeros and billiejoearmstrong8
DeltaV20
Andreas Sanchez looks quite similar to Jimmy Hernandez (well they both are dead) , they both are mexican and thy both works for government , They both were not corrupt. and they both betrayed there mates (Steve and Pulaski, Tenpenny) Andreas's and Sanchez's voice are pretty different tho Himeros
