Why the zombies are attacking me in Undead Nigthmare???

I turned into Undead/Zombie John Marston, and why does the zombies are still attacking me? We are zombies to zombies, we must come in peace together. But why the zombies are attacking a zombie???

At the end of the game there's a little pop up on the screen that explains because John was buried with some holy water it means he's different to the other zombies. He looks like the other zombies but thanks to the holy water he still has the soul of a human. I guess the zombies can sense this so they still attack him, and people know who he is from when he saved all the towns etc so they know he isn't dangerous. That's why zombies and people still treat him the same as when he was alive/not undead.

I think it allows you to get closer to zombies without them detecting you, but it doesn't prevent them from attacking you if you get too close.

Might seem that way but it doesn't, it has no effect

The most obvious answer is he's simply a reskin of the default John so the A.I probably wasn't programmed to ignore him as the zombie version. However from a gameplay perspective it would be pretty boring if the other zombies just ignored him all the time.

 

Infact it's hilarious and completely flips the switch on the typical zombie game being able to attack and be attacked by other zombies whilst being one yourself.
